Can menopause natural remedies help with symptoms of menopause and help
to control hot flashes and other symptoms associated with menopause? There are so many women who go through menopause with little or no major problems. Then there are plenty of women who do go through severe menopausal suffering such as night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia, depression, weight gain and fatigue.
The good news is that there are things that will help you to get better and to reduce the worst symptoms of menopause but they may take a little while to work. The thing is that the menopause natural remedies such as herbs do not have any known side effects and many of the prescribed medications have not only side effects but other possible risks as well.
There are many different remedies that work well for treatment for menopause and the main herbs used are Black Cohosh , Kava Kava and Dong Quai as well as Theanine which is used to control stress associated with menopause. Also, Milk Thistle is another herb that has been known to be useful in providing natural menopause relief as the hormonal changes in the body can in turn intensify some of the symptoms and put additional strain on the liver.
Menopause itself, is brought on by decreased levels of estrogen and progesterone and can cause certain symptoms such as fatigue, mood swings, hot flashes, irregular periods, vaginal dryness, frequent urination and insomnia. Many women are choosing to opt for natural remedies for various reasons. The main reason, however, is simply that most women are concerned about the adverse effects and risks of conventional medicine and traditional medical treatments for menopause.
Menopause is a natural part of the process of life. A woman is born with a finite number of eggs, which are stored in the ovaries. The ovaries also produce the hormones estrogen and progesterone, which regulate menstruation and ovulation. Menopause occurs when the ovaries are totally depleted of eggs and no amount of stimulation from the regulating hormones can force them to work.
Menopause, when it occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, is considered “natural” and is a normal part of aging. But, some women can experience menopause early, either as a result of a surgical intervention, such as hysterectomy, or damage to the ovaries, such as from chemotherapy. Menopause that occurs before the age of 45, regardless of the cause, is called premature menopause.
Many women do not wish to have hormone replacement therapy, as it may not be necessary and even dangerous. For these and many other women, herbal or natural menopause treatment may be the relief that is most appealing. Don’t rule out natural progesterone cream or herbal products because they are natural. Most often, people think that just because something doesn’t come by prescription from a doctor that it may not be an effective remedy for natural menopause.
