My mom was just diagnosed with stage IIIC ovarian cancer and she is having her first round of intravenous chemo radiation tomorrow and I was wondering how long she would have to wait for the next round. I cant be with her to ask these questions but two of my other sister’s are there with her.

I was originally diagnosed with Stein-Levinthal syndrome at age 19 and had PCOD throughout my 20′s and 30′s. I had a few surgeries for the cysts and finally a hysterectomy at age 43 because of a large cyst and endometriosis. I know that PCOD is associated with other endocrine problems (syndrome x, diabetes, insulin resistance, etc.) Once a person has a hysterectomy (including ovaries) are these health risks still an issue?

I’ve narrowed it down to these two. I hate getting shots, but am not sure about having to gel myself every day. which do you yahoo trans guys prefer? I’m looking at price, convenience, and effectiveness.

A friend told me that it happened to him. Sadly.

If one were to get surgery in order to have their ovaries removed (for whatever reason), is it legal for that doctor or someone assisting the operation to store the egg cells and use them elsewhere without the consent of the woman?

hormonal imbalance….what?!?

Hi I have not had a period for 2 months except light spotting for one day….I have taken a few hpt so def not pregnant..I am also experiencing breakouts on my face, sore breasts, feeling bloated and tired….what are some other explanations besides pregnancy for these symptoms…

my doc said it is probably a ‘hormonal’ imbalance but why would I experience this in the first place?! I am 23, healthy weight, not ‘stressed’ etc so what on earth is wrong with me?! I do find it strange that my periods stop only a month or two after we atarted ttc…but the tests wouldnt lie after 2 months…right..?

Thanks in advance for advice!
i am booked in for blood test in a week….just worried now that this is going to be something that will stop me from ever getting pregnant…:(

I’m just looking for anyone that has started pre-menopause in their 30′s , I think I am starting symptoms. I only have one ovary for the past 5 years and wanted to see about anyone else that might be going thru it….
If you are soaking a pad in 20 minutes, that is hemoraging and you need to see a doctor right away!

I went to the dr. and had my blood drawn on day 25 of cycle and it was 8.8. I was wondering if this is normal or if it needed to be higher to conceive and/or stay pregnant.

I had hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and just had sex first time and a little blood is this normal and how long is normal?

Can a woman past menopause be a surrogate mother?

this question has nothing to do with me or anyone I know. Im just curious.

If they have been taking female hormones and been through gender reassignment surgery, would there be no source of male hormones anymore since they already removed their testes? Which means they would remain neutral? Or would they start growing hair and changing voices like a late puberty?

How can I make my period start faster?

I want my period to start today or by tomorrow because next week I have a dance(school play) and I just can’t dance knowing I will be on my period. Is there anything I can do besides excercising to make my period come earlier?

I have suffered from 2 ruptured ovarian cysts lately, and I need to know how to prevent them from keep on happening. I have been to the OBGYN and she performed a laparoscopy on me and said there is nothing wrong with my reproductive system. Can anyone help?
