I never used to have it and after getting on birth control (Implanon) last year I know have minor/moderate cellulite. I hate it and I want to know how to get rid of it. No laser procedures or use cream suggestions, please!
When I insert a tamp I get cramps and my lower back hurts a lot right now. Is it just my period or the tampon?
Ok, so it’s been four months since I delivered my son vaginally. I had a small tear which didn’t need stitches, however my son was stuck in the birth canal for over an hour. After my 6 wk checkup (Doc didn’t actually look inside, just checked uterus), hubby and I tried to have sex. It felt like a knife cutting me! We waited a few more days and tried again but it was not happening. At 9 wks postpartum I went back to my doctor and after examining me he said that I hadn’t healed and that it was due to breastfeeding. He gave me estrogen cream to use for a month, well two weeks after using the cream my milk supply was almost gone!! I immediately stopped the cream. My husband and I have tried several times, of course with tons of lubrication. I even tried Replens for a week. I don’t have insurance now so I can’t see my doctor. I cant’ imagine that I haven’t healed by now! Also, my urethra has never closed and has remained red and painful, even when wiping.
I feel like my GF is moody alot and it makes me mad at times. we can never have a happy normal convo without her being all moody. She gets mad at stupid things and stays quite randomly.
The Mirena IUD seems to have lowered my sex drive and I’ve researched some about how the DHEA supplement can help with that, but, would taking it interfere with how the IUD works since it sends the ovaries signals to stop making progesterone or at least lower it?.. and taking DHEA would actually help put hormone levels in balance. So is it a good idea taking DHEA on IUD or not? Would the DHEA cancel what the IUD is doing to protect against pregnancy?
I’ve fianally decided to begin my transition (male-to-female) and i wanted to know what it would cost to begin HRT. I ask for both with and without insurance because i have a college based insurance plan (SHIP) and i am not sure if it will cover HRT (it covers gender identity counseling so IDK) Thank you all in advance ~<3
P.S. i live in Moscow, Idaho.
Obviously, hormones play a big part in the mood of people and especially teenagers. Puberty brings about drastic changes within an individual’s life. What specific hormones influence teenagers’ moods? What specific hormones influence guys/girls that are not in the opposite sex?
Sources would be amazing.
Ive had my perid since january, and it still kind of hurts to take out a tampon is that normal? do the kotex tampons without the wings hurt less?
when a women has a hot flash does her body temperture go up
I’ve been reading articles with evolutionary explanations for human behaviors, and just about every article gives off the impression that men are naturally polygamous, cheat on their older wives because they can no longer reproduce and are therefore sexually useless, are justified in dropping their older partners for younger, more fertile ones, etc.
It sounds an awful lot as if they’re basically implying that women are only worthy of male affections as long as they’re young with perky breasts.
How, then, does evolutionary theory account for women still desiring male companionship after they are older and their children have left the house, women still wanting to have sex after menopause, and the fact that women live longer despite being useless once their reproductive careers are over?
For example:
"Many believe that men go through a midlife crisis when they are in middle age. Not quite. Many middle-aged men do go through midlife crises, but it’s not because they are middle-aged. It’s because their wives are. From the evolutionary psychological perspective, a man’s midlife crisis is precipitated by his wife’s imminent menopause and end of her reproductive career, and thus his renewed need to attract younger women. Accordingly, a 50-year-old man married to a 25-year-old woman would not go through a midlife crisis, while a 25-year-old man married to a 50-year-old woman would, just like a more typical 50-year-old man married to a 50-year-old woman. It’s not his midlife that matters; it’s hers. When he buys a shiny-red sports car, he’s not trying to regain his youth; he’s trying to attract young women to replace his menopausal wife by trumpeting his flash and cash."
"Until very recently, it was a mystery to evolutionary psychology why men prefer women with large breasts, since the size of a woman’s breasts has no relationship to her ability to lactate. But Harvard anthropologist Frank Marlowe contends that larger, and hence heavier, breasts sag more conspicuously with age than do smaller breasts. Thus they make it easier for men to judge a woman’s age (and her reproductive value) by sight—suggesting why men find women with large breasts more attractive."

a relative of mine (we live in the same houshold) is going through pre-menopause and i would like to know what i can do to help her in this time.
Is there a site where I can research on it?
My dad is 80 with prostate cancer stage 3. And he has been recently taking this medical marijuan and making it into a cookie himself. I know it is licensed in California cause its where he lives. And also, he is on hormone therapy treatment only. Other treatments did not do any good at all.
I really don’t like this marijuana issue even if its licensed. I always see marijuana as an illegal drug and I’m totally against it. This is brand new right? Should I try to convince my dad to stop this while its early?
Other treatments like Chemo and Radiation, did not do anything for my dad. Only hormone therapy is effective on him. I hate this marijuana issue…I’m worried that he might go whacko because of this like other drug addicts.
How are hormones distributed to tissues, and what determines which cells a hormone will affect?
A) They are carried throughout the body in the bloodstream, and each hormone affects the target cells responsive to it.
B) They are carried to specific organs by lymphatic vessels and affect the cells in those organs.
C) They are carried to specific organs by ducts and affect the cells in those organs.
D) They are delivered by neurosecretory cells to specific tissues and cells, which are affected.
E) They are distributed locally in the interstitial fluid and affect nearby responsive target cells.
I’m 41 and recently I’ve started gaining weight with no changes in my diet. I’ve been cranky, tired, have developed allergies and have started having panic attacks about death. Every night I lay in bed thinking about death and I start to cry and hyperventilate. I feel like I’m going crazy. Any of you ladies gone through menopause have any of these symptoms?
