Anyone every had a false positive on a pregnancy test?
I was severly late and I kept taking urine test and all were negative so I called my dr at two weeks late and the did blood work done two weeks ago and the results were positive but they said my hormone count was low so there might be a problem or it just might be early. It never occured to me that the test might have been wrong I was always told that it was impossible to get a false positive and this was on blood test, but sure enough I went back on wed for another test to dind out last thurs I wasn’t ever pregnant. I am 29 yrs old and even now I still haven’t started on day 50. The dr gave me provera and I have been taking it for 4 days, still no period just craps. I am having lots of feeling like hot flashes. I’m worried I could be premenopause. I have no kids and I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks almost 6 months ago now. I have a history of endometrosis but haven’t had any problems in a few yrs with that and I was on depo-provera for 8 yrs and I have been off it for nearly 3 yrs now.
The dr said it was not another miscarriage.

I’ve never heard of a false positive. You might want to go somewhere else and get another test done.
They have plenty of free clinics, or you can just go to planned parenthood.
GOOD LUCK!
I hate to say that it might have been another miscarriage. You’re only 29, you are not pre-menopause!
it’s possible that you were having another miscarriage.. but get a second opinion..
False Positive on urine test YES, False Positive on a Blood Test NO, low levels yes, but not a false positive.
If you noticed the hot flashes after taking the medication, I would say it’s a side effect from the medication, if you noticed it before you started taking the medication I would say it’s due to hormones. I don’t think your going into early menopause, while it’s happen to some woman it’s a rarity. I would suggest you calling your doctor and expressing your concerns. If your TTC you may need further testing.
