3.     For help with depression, spend about an hour outdoors everyday, rain or shine.  Your bedroom should be so dark when you sleep that you cannot see your hand in front of your face.  This helps create endorphins and the other hormone (can&#039;t think of the name) that affect depression.

I recommend that you do not rule out anti-depressants altogether.  There are some good ones on the market and your doctor will find the right one for you.  It takes about seven weeks to &quot;kick in&quot; and your doctor may have to &quot;tweek&quot; the dosage.  I&#039;ve taken them for years for clinical depression and have experienced no side effects.
