I’m nearing 50 and feel hot whenever I get up in the night. I wouldn’t call it a nightsweat, it feels more like blushing all over my body. These ‘attacks’ last for about 5 minutes. I have no other symptoms of menopause and until recently had regular cycles. Does anyone recognise the symptoms?

Sometimes I am just sitting there at school and ill think ‘here comes a random hot flush’ and my face will get hot and my skin will get itchy.

It happens not only when i am hot/embarrassed but also for no reason. Can you help me out?

What could possibly be causing an 18 year old female to be having hot flushes?

I’ve had them for the past week. I’ve been very dizzy, nausous and fainted the other day.

I’m on the pill but this morning switched from a combined pill to the mini pill, but I’ve been having hot flushes before swapping.

I’m not on my period.

I’m in 23 week of pregnancy and lately I’m experiencing hot flushes. At first they coming up only occasionally at night, but like the weather outside getting warmer..they show up at day mostly.
Until today they wasn’t that bad…come and go in a minute, but today I feel awful . I feel like my heart will jump from my chest, I feel soooo hot ( haha but in wrong way ), sweating a lot..and I feel like I should unzip my skin and step out. My cheeks look like tomatoes ..in one word- I’m burning !!! I know, that is hormones..what should I do?!

i have been on hrt for two years and have been told by my gp to come off it, ive been off it for three months now im getting hot flushes day and night what can i take to ease them.

hey, im 20…

one moment ill be fine, then, ill get really hot,that i sweat quite alot, feel dizzy and disorientated and feel sick, but i never am sick…..

if i lay down im fine…. i had it again last night and had to sit from standing but it didnt help, i just didnt want to fall.

im also consantly tired, regardless of the amount of sleep i have.

im on the microgynon pill aswell.

what could be wrong?

I’m 30 weeks with twins and my face just got really hot and I felt a little like I was going to pass out. I’m not doing anything right now, just sat down relaxing watching tv and looking on here.

I’m already on iron tablets and have been since I was 12 weeks, and I’m also on an increased dose (5mg rather than 400mcg) of folic acid every other day (because taking it every day made me too ill).

Other than anaemia, which is not possible, plus I had blood tests done 2 weeks ago for that and haemoglobin, what could it be?

I had an appointment on Monday and nothing was wrong then.

I’m sure I was having a Braxton Hicks contraction at the same time too. It’s mostly discomfort in my back when I get them and sometimes in my stomach as well. I’m having twins so when I get it in different places, I get a different type of contraction. Sounds weird I know, but it’s true lol

I’m just so confused as I wasn’t doing anything and I’ve never had it happen to me before except when I was having my bloods done at 12 weeks when I nearly passed out due to a fear of needles.

Aaargh! I’m currently walking around with wet socks and my skin feels like it’s burning up. My fiance is laughing his butt off! I just found out I’m pregnant and yes we are very happy! But what’s the deal? Are these crazy hot periods a symptom and how long til they stop. My skin doesn’t feel hot to touch, says my partner but to me, omg, I’m going nuts! (i’m also quitting smoking I"ve quit today as I just found out yesterday, I did sneak one tonight to prevent killing somebody though!)
