Does anyone know of a natural supplement to take for hot flashes?
I had a hysterectomy in July, and I have really been having trouble sleeping, and a lot of problems with hot flashes. Does anyone know of a natural supplement that would help? I take medication for high blood pressure, so black co hash, is out of the question, along with ginseng, etc. I also cannot sleep, at all. I lay awake all night long, eyes wide open. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mexican Wild Yam has been shown to be quite effective in alleviating hot flashes. It’s available at Whole Foods or any health food store.
Evening Primrose Oil is wonderful for helping with hot flashes. It really helps to balance the hormones nicely. Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is a great hormone balancer for a woman at any point in life.
Valerian or passionflower is a great choice for insomnia. It can be taken in tea, tincture, or capsule form.
You can try the other suggestions or try some “maca”

It is good for the hormones.
Evening primrose or borage oil is good for the hormones.Look for the GLA content. The higher the better and that it is hexane free.
I’ve heared that black cohosh works well.
