I tried hard but couldn’t get what I wanted. I used google (Starting to despise google for research), and some scholarly search engines. Used the phrases above, plus wayyyy more, and I personally think I’m good at finding obscure info on the web.

Given the ways in which drugs and chemical substances regulate and act within our bodies, what are the inherent ‘limits’ to how much drugs, shots, hormone therapy, blah can repair, enhance, change, blah our bodies?

There probably isn’t a good answer, or maybe there is, but its certainly just a theory. I am also trying to keep away from the ideas of surgery here, and nanotechnology (small nanobots repairing things in the body, because that hes yet to happen, and would allow for to much speculation).

I think enhancement is more along the lines of what I am looking for, but yeah, the limits of that, given how drugs and pharmaceuticals all must interact with by blocking stuff or activiting or whatnot. I already have read a bit about receptor theory, it pertains to my interest here, but is not enough. Would the theoretical limits of drug enhancement and repair via trying to drugs and such be the limits of the human ? Isn’t pharmocogenetics trying to develop ways for drugs to interact with and ‘turn on or off’ genes? If this were the case, couldn’t I theoretically affect my genes in a way that would stop myostatin inhibitors or something, so I could get super muscley real easy?

Maybe that was too hypothetical. But can you help me find some literature on this? or provide an answer/ opinion to flesh this out more? maybe the myostatin thing was too much, but the idea was perhaps it’s the limits of the body? I don’t mean medicine either, as I think surgery, science, prosthetics, implants, and nano could eventually make us super connected ultra omega humans in the drop of a dime with the right focus. I was just reading about nootropics, experimental drug research, and new army amphetamines that supposedly do not hype you up or have a come down, but simply allow you to remain in a normal focused state for well over a full day. anyway, I just started to wonder
"what are the limits to what I can do with a simple pill pop or drug dosage????"

I have a very low sex drive and I always have even before we had our baby. My husband always teases that it is a miracle he is here because I am never in the mood. Even when we have for play I am still never in the mood. It is starting to affect our relationship. My husband is sleeping on the couch and told me today that he feels his role is only to pay the bills and that we are great room mates. I need some help and I don’t know what to do or who to ask for help.
