For women who have had the procedure only: Which is better in the long run, a Partial or a Full Hysterectomy?
Ultrasound testing tells me that after 3 children, I have a swollen Uterus that causes me great pain.
Tomorrow I am scheduled for a full Hysterectomy, but I am considering a partial (Uterus only).
What are the benefits and detractors of each?
Please, I seek answers from women who have had surgery, not speculation. Thank you.

I opted for a complete hysterectomy. My gynecologist said I was in perimenopause and I didn’t want to risk ovarian cancer.
I had a partial & am glad. I didn’t go into instant menopause & I see no reason (other than medical) to cut out something that’s healthy.
My mom had a full hysterectomy because she developed endometriosis. She said she liked having the full hysterectomy because she doesn’t have to worry about things anymore or w/e. all she does is uses this gel stuff for her hormones. but its up to you in the end..
