*facepalm* Firstly, its an endocrinologist… and second they don’t just hand you over hormones for transitioning. You’re jumping ahead of yourself.
Often a specialist won’t see you without a referral. Have your family physician refer you to the endocrinologist. They’ll ask what sort of treatment you are seeking, they will likely then send you to a gender specialist to confirm it’s the right course of treatment for you and THEN you’ll begin HRT.
Save yourself the stress of bouncing back and forth and get documentation backing your need to transition before bothering the endocrinologists.
You need an endocrinologist —- and unfortunately, in today’s environment, you may need an open-minded one.
Oh — and you’ll probably need also a letter of recommendation from your therapist.
