Irregular periods, then stopped altogether recently…?
I am 39 years old and had very regular, predictable periods up until about 5 months ago. It started out with a 12 day long light period. Then it stopped for about 2 weeks and I got another 12 day long light period. Then, I started alternating between a light period and a "normal" period about every two weeks.
Now my last "period" was July 31 (today is Sept. 13). I had terrible PMS (like I’ve never had it before) and awful cramps around August 27. At that time I got very, very light spotting for about 3 days. It was so light that the blood was barely detectable on the pantyliner. Now, nothing.
Plus, I have noticed my mid-section has been getting quite large lately. But, I suppose that is a separate issue. I’m thinking about reducing my carb intake to see if that will help.
I went to the OB/GYN and she did all the hormone tests. All my tests turned out good. All my hormone levels were as close to perfect as you can get. Does that mean that this is not perimenopause? If not, what is it?

Causes of Irregular Periods and some diseases – discover below
You sound like you could be pregnant, but at the same time by stating the fact that you had an hormonal test I would think you are fine. Go to another doctor and ask for more blood test with everything done, and a perlvic ultrasound. You could also have endometriosis or anemia. Plus the Pap needs to be done.
