I’ve just started using progesterone cream myself, and yesterday I decided to do a search on Fertility Friend for PG charts of women who used Progesterone. Check it out! You’ll see that many people have started using it 5, 10 or even 15 dpo, and even after a positive HPT, so I think you’re probably fine to start now. One thing I did notice (much to DH’s enjoyment!) is that the cream can make you *really* drowsy. No, it doesn’t say that on the bottle, but the second day of using the cream, I slept until 2:30pm! So I checked it online and one answer is to use more at night-time than in the mornings. The resource I found says that as long as the dosage over 24 hours is the same, it should still be effective. Check out what Lori Ramsey says (Google her; I don’t remember the URL). GOOD LUCK!
Call your doctor and ask. Please don’t use progesterone without medical advice. If you start taking it now and get pregnant, you will need to take it for your entire first trimester to avoid a miscarriage. And if you don’t need progesterone supplementation, you shouldn’t take it at all.
