Is it normal to spot a month after my second depo provera shot?
I’m about 4 and a half months into the depo shot. A month after my second injection I started spotting again. Is this normal? How long is this going to last? My doctor isn’t returning my calls.

Yep. After my first depo shot i fully bled for 3 months straight. I asked my doc if this was normal and she said yes, that you can bleed/spot for up to a year. I decided against a second shot. I didn’t feel the need to bleed for a straight year.
This is a bit of info from plannedparenthood.com… It is accurate and it is also what I experienced with my shot..
after using it for a year, my periods, and spotting have gone away completely, and tho it was annoying then, I love my shot now
"Irregular bleeding is the most common side effect, especially in the first 6 to 12 months of use.
* For most women, periods become fewer and lighter. After one year, half of the women who use the birth control shot will stop having periods completely.
* Some women have longer, heavier periods.
* Some women have increased spotting and light bleeding between periods."
