Menopause is here and so are the menstrual cycle symptoms. Why?
I have not had a cycle in 6 months and I think I might be done with them. However, PMS shows up right on time every month. Cramps, tender breast, queasy stomach and sleepiness is something I still have to deal with. In the old days when my cycle started all of these issues went away. Is this normal? Shouldn’t PMS left with mensuration? How long will it last? I don’t take hormones cause I’ve only had 2 hot flashes and both weren’t a big deal. All serious answers please will be reviewed for 10 points!

Everything normal. I started and stopped several times. This went on for a long time. I had hot flashes for years too. Many mood swings and panic attacks. The panic attacks were the worst.
There is a good book by Dr. Christine Northrup called "The Wisdom of Menopause" I would recommend U get a copy and read this. It will help U a lot understand what is going on.

your hormones might still b getting used to the idea of ur body changing
This is actually very normal. Many women will still experience period like symptoms after menopause begins. For some women, the symptoms are less than when they were on their menstrual cycle, and for others, they increase. For most, the symptoms increase. This is one of the reasons why women take hormone replacement pills, as this pain may not only affect how they feel themselves, but also their stress levels, which could affect other things in your life (your relationship with your spouse, work).
I have heard the same thing happens frequently when someone is infertile, or stops menstrating early. I am 19 (far away from menopause years), yet I haven’t had a period in over a year. But I get monthly cramps and such. Strangely enough, when I used to have my period (which I began at 11 or 12), I would rarely get these things. Now I get them every month, and it’s worse. The doctor said it was unlikely I would ever get my period again.
