My cycle has become irregular. Is this perimenopause?
I’m almost 49. I’ve always been regular with my cycles. However, this summer I had one with 54 days in between and today I’m only 16 days in between. I feel fine and the cycles are normal. With exception of your usual hot flashes, not sleeping as well, crying at times I’m wondering how old most of you were when it started to affect your cycles?

I’m 51. Two years ago I missed my period. First time ever, even after pregnancy and nursing. then I was regular again. The last few months I have been very irregular. 50 days, followed by 14 days, followed by 10 days, followed by 7 days. I have had six children. I’ve been told that for some, the more children you have, the longer it takes before the onset of menopause. My sister just stopped menstruating at age 45. Three children. No hot flashes or anything.
Everyone is different. I hope it won’t last long for you.
I was already done by the time I was your age, so yes. You could be going into menopause. Irregular cycles are part of it.
Mine took about three years to get through. I still have the hot flashes.
