My mom wants to donate her eggs and she had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. How much will they pay her to donate and would she be able to?

We are married for over 10 years. He has a latex allergic and I have many side effects with pills. We are still pulling on with all side effects with either pills or condoms. We consulted doctors and mostly the advise is to go in for implant or surgery. We do not want that because, we are afraid that this might affect a future child (we are planning after 3 years). Is there a safer means of contraceptive. I will be thankful if anyone gives me some good suggestions from experience. I Truly appreciate your answers.

He just turned 48 he is 10 years older & he can be happy one sec then angry the next.I have heard male menopause is there a vitamin or something I can give to him or Im going to have to part.It has come to a point that Im scared to have a conversation or Ill get yelled @.

How would you cure bladder stones in a dog?

My mother’s small dog has bladder stones & we noticed it when there was blood in his urine. The vet said the only way to cure them is through surgery however my mother is nervous to put her dog through this. He is otherwise a happy & healthy dog & it doesn’t seem to be bothering him. Does anyone know of any cures other than surgery for this?
The dog is 10 years old.

A family member of mine had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. I noticed that she still buys and uses tampons and pads (i see them in the garbage). Long story short, there’s no possible way that these are for/being used by other women. It was my understanding that this procedure eliminated the menstrual cycle, so why would she still need these items? I could just ask her, but… ya know.

I am just very nervous because I had some miscarriages in the past so now I just found out I am pregnant I am 34 and I know that’s old to have a second child plus they will be 10 years apart. I went to get tested everything came out good. When I found out I was pregnant the doc gave me the progesterone inserts will this increase the chance of me going full term?

I have had severe menstrual cramps for the last 10 years. They interfere with my life in general! In college the nurse first recommended that I take some ibuprofen 2 days before my period but the cramps were still bad. Then she put me on the pill which solved all my problems!! I have used the pill for two years with marvelous results. But the reality is I am not sexually active. I am unnecessarily manipulating the hormones of my body, which might interfere with my fertility in the future if I am blest to meet someone I want to have kids with. This spring I decided to junk the pill. Now I have to take more than the recommended dose of ibuprofen in order to just be able to get out of the bed for the first two days of my period. I don’t want to have liver damage!!! Does anyone know any other non-toxic medication that would end my monnightmare? Please let it be legal..I tried codeine and it worked great but my source got arrested!

I was placed on hormone replacement because of early menopause from surgery removing the uterus along with my tubes. I am really concerned because of the risk of breast cancer. My doctor (gyn) does not seem concerned. Has anyone taken the HRT and discontinued after some lenght of time? I want to discontinue the pills. What are the effects of discontinuing the hormone replacement? Thank you.
I am now 53 years old and was put on the HRT because of the effects of early .menopause. I am concerned with having taken them for a long time. The hysterectomy was about 10 years ago. With an inactive thyroid, my hormones were just about none. Does the benefit outweigh the risk? Is there someone that has experienced the same situation? Thank you for the input.

Wife "just want to live by myself"?

After over 13 years of marriage, my wife has left and says she wants to be by herself. She has left several times before in our marriage for similar reasons and I have gotten her back. For the past 10 years, she (now 42) has been going through menopause with all that goes with that. The past year has been okay as we have enjoyed each others company and done fun things, even though it has been sex-less and filled with mood swings, etc. I am a christian and love my wife and am having a hard time dealing with the situation. I hate to see her destroy herself, much less our marriage. She seems to exhibit all the signs of clinical depression except for being suicidal (as far as I know). She has tried hormone replacement therapy and uses "happy drugs" to try and help with mood swings, but no help. I guess my question is, how can I get some REAL help for her and possibly save our marriage or should I just take care of myself and hope for the best for her?
To address some issues presented here: I have suggested counciling – she declines, we have been to church together – I still go, she stopped, I have suggested exercise and diet – she agrees, but never acts on it, I do most of the housework and cooking to pamper her – no help, I have taken her on many "fun weekends" away and vacations – no change, I have suggested doctor consults for change in HRT and "happy drugs" – she does not follow thru, she has issues with jobs (changed five times in 10 years), she has issues with her family (arguments with her daughter {not speaking from time to time} as well as her sister and mother and my two grown children. I think the point here, for me is, you can lead a horse to water. Maybe I have tolerated it too long and not been more insistant that she find help. Is there REALLY anything that I can do to help her, I think marriage is holy union of God and am concerned about that, but I am more concerned about her future health-mental and physical.

I have had anxiety and panic attacks for about 20 years. I periodically go through worse stages, but things have been pretty good for about 10 years. I am 48 years old and have had many other symptoms of perimenopause. I read somewhere once that people with anxiety/panic conditions may find that it gets worse once entering into perimenopause. I just do not know what to do any more. This is really taking over my life worse than ever. I feel on edge and anxious most of the time. I do take medication (xanax) and I am seeking the proper medical attention (psychotherapist). I am just wondering if hormones are playing a role in this, and if so, what can I do to overcome this? I am hoping to hear from someone with experience with this themselves or from a medical professional who deals with this. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to enjoying my life again.

I no longer want to have children and have not had a period in 10 years due to the birth control I have been using. It does get costly as time goes on and I thought it would just be cheaper to just take care of this once and for all.

Vaginal dryness a sign of pregnancy?

I am wondering if vaginal dryness is a sign of pregnancy. I have had unprotected sex the 29th of October, the 2nd of November, and yesterday. I am due to get my period on the 15th. I took a Clear Blue Easy digital pregnancy test which says you can test 5 days earlier and it was negative. I have been feeling really tired, though I wonder if that’s just me being overanalytical since I am usually tired no matter what. I have not had any other symptom except feeling hungrier than usual, and again, that could be me overanalyzing since I eat when I feel hungry normally and don’t notice the exact timings.
Please don’t automatically assume I am having sex with just anybody. I’ve known him for 10 years, and he’s the least likely person to have any type of STD. He’s an honorable person who doesn’t sleep with just anybody. I know his history, and he’s had 4 partners maximum in his lifetime, and he’s in his late 40′s.

Since about 33 and 1/2 I started having slight hot flashes. But my periods changed for me around 29. They became shorter and lighter sometimes and then heavier but still didn’t last more then 2 or 3 days. For about 10 years now the first day starts out as spotting and then the 3rd or 4th day is when it becomes heavier but doesn’t last more then two days. A lot of the blood seems to be in the toilet when I go to the bathroom. The hot flashes at 33 didn’t last more then 6 months and weren’t very frequent. But I just turned 39 and now have noticed hot flashes at least once a day especially at night. They used to be in my chest a hot feeling now it begins in my chest and ends up in my head. Sometimes I wake up with semi migraines and feel really tired and sluggish all day at work. My mom stopped getting periods at 41 or 42. She’s now 70 and whenever I ask her about it she tells me to ask the dr or others because she doesn’t remember it. It’s like she’s ashamed of it.
Before the age of 29 my periods were 5 to 7 days. Would start out heavy for about 3 days and then get lighter for the rest of the time. I’ve heard you can go through perimenopause for 5-10 years before your period actually ends. Sometimes my periods now have even been every 26 days or 28 days where as before were always every 28 to 30. Does this mean I’m really getting close to the end? Also what do I do now, with not feeling well. Since I technically still get my periods what can the dr give me to help me with these awful symptoms? Another thing I’m so worried about is I’ve read when you go through it young it can age your skin and cause your hair to thin because the collagen isn’t being produced because of loss of estrogen. My mom still looks extremly good for her age but every individual is different is this just an old wifes tale or does it age you when you go through it young?

Partial hysterectomy and menopause?

I had a partial hysterectomy 10 years ago. (I still have my ovaries.) I am now 45, and wondering about menopause-how will I know it is starting? If you are going through it, what are your symptoms?
