What would the consequences of prolonged tampon use?

I’m very active throughout the day and at times when i’m on my menses, I often have a tampon on for a lenghty amount of time.. Is this safe or can this cause any type of health risks.. infections and so on?

And is it safe to wear a tampon to bed, granted that you get up and change throughout the night?

Thank you for your answers.

i heard you can get on Testosteron if your an FTM if you have been living as male for a certain number of months but i wasnt sure if it was true. or is it that you can get a letter from your therapist if you have been living as male for a certain amount of time without going for 3 months of therapy.

I have been having hot flashes for about 4 months now, about 20 small ones a day and 4 big ones where my neck becomes drenched with sweat. I feel like I have been in a daze for the same amount of time, where even my typing seems like its being affected. The night sweats leave me feeling tired during the day and out of it. I have two children and my son was just born about 8 months ago. I know majority of people would say no brainer, menopause….. the thing is I am only 22, I have a doc appointment on the 18th but just wondering if this is normal after having a boy, or if it could be anything else besides perimenopause. thanks

About a week ago, one of my ovarian cysts ruptured, leaving two more cysts left in my ovaries. Although it is somewhat painful with cysts, is there a specific amount of time I should wait after this rupture to have sex?

I have been bleeding since Aug. 27, 2007, and also did this last year for the same amount of time. Was wondering what could be done about it? I am really getting tired and was wondering if there is something that could be done like a pill or hormones? I am 51 years old and I have no desire to have any children.

I am asking this for my mother. Her doctor wants her to stay on hormone pills for the rest of her life, but she is worried about breast cancer, and only wants to take the lowest dose for a short amount of time (couple years). Should she stand up to her doctor? PS She is NOT in a high breast cancer risk group

I have been taking provera to have a menstrual period. I want to become pregnant, and am curious if it should be out of your system for a certain amount of time before trying. I have heard provera can be very harmful to a fetus, and wanted to know how long provera stays in your system…

I haven’t had a period in a few months & my doctor has prescribed Provera so that my period can come. I don’t even remember when my cycle is supposed to begin since I’ve always had irregular periods. I did ovulate back in February but since then it’s been nothing. If I take Provera on anyday for the reccommended amount of time will this through off my ovulation cycle?
