Let me start by saying I already have been to my gyno for an annual check up and she did not seem concerned about the severe vaginal dryness I was having. However, I had a bacteria infection at the time so maybe she just didn’t believe me as to how dry it actually gets. The bacteria infections were a problem for a while as a result of a weakend immune system from Lyme Disease. (I am on antibiotics for the Lyme and many probiotics, and don’t think those are the cause because this started well before the antibiotics.)

Now a few months later, I am still having this problem and I am beginning to realize this isn’t getting better and it’s not how I want to live!

My vaginal area has been completely dry for months. I no longer have a sex life because it is painful, even if I am lubricated, which seems almost impossible. When I say dry, I mean it literally has no moisture what so ever all day long. I don’t even have an odor.

It gets sore during the day as I walk around. I have gotten in the habit of using vagisal cream, because sometimes it does feel itchy.

Sometimes right before my period I get what feels like a in-grown hair lump on it, but more on the inside, not where a ingrown hair would be. That lasts a day or so and goes away. Since I am not sexually active, I’m pretty confident it’s not an STD.

Then for the last two months when my period comes I feel burning and stinging in that area. Soap makes it sting and wiping is painful. If I wasn’t bleeding because of my period, I would think I was cut or something. There is nothing I can see on it that would cause this. The vagina itself just looks very inflammed.

So, as far as the dryness goes, could that cause the lumps and soreness I was referring to and can anyone recommend what to do, if anything, cuz my doctor didn’t seem to think it was a big deal.

And is this thing that’s happening during my menstrual cycle in anyway normal and maybe something common that I just have never experienced before, or should I take another trip to my doctor and insist I am having a problem?

I am a 30 year old female with no children and I have been on the pill for many many years.

My cat has a bladder infection, diagnosed by a vet three days ago. He is on antibiotics and just took the 4th dose of 14 (two weeks), but I just found that he peed on a pillow in our living room. Is this normal or should he be using the litter box by now?

my mother has been sick for over a year and actually ended up in the hospital for a week close to death, because her infection got into her blood. She has had one bladder infection after another, and her doctor just keeps prescribing her antibiotics. They also put her on a medication to make her urine more acidic to kill off bacteria, but nothing is helping. It is scaring me that she is saying that she is afraid she is going to die. Before this problem she had surgery to tie her bladder up because it was slouching, but she had an internal exam with a mini camera, and besides a slightly wrinkled bladder wall, the urologist could find nothing wrong. At the same time she had a hysterectomy which threw her into menopause. I read that estrogen levels being thrown off by menopause can cause chronic bladder infections. Has anyone been given estrogen to fix a problem like this and does it work? We are very worried about her and desperate for an answer.

I use a hormone implant as a form of birth control and I wondered if these antibiotics would decrease its effectiveness? The leaflet says that they effect estrogen birth control tablets but nothing about progesterone. Thank you in advance.

I had a full Hystertomery 3 yr ago i was 27yrs, been on HRT implants since then which have been fine up till now, i am suffering from Tachyphylaxis (my body is addictive to the HRT).

Does anyone know if this can cause severe pain and Reaccuring Kidney infections ?

I have recently have 2 bad spells of being in hospital with severe pain , sickness, they say it was a severe kidney infection i was treated with IV PPI and Antibiotics and released on a PPI.
Kidney scan was fine, ultra sound was fine having a Gasteropsy tomoz ?

Now they also are saying i MAY have adhesions causing a blockage from my Hysteo. ( typical NHS guess work )

Now is my HRT causing all of this ?

Also i am worried as i’m not sure which HRT i will be replaced with and my flushing is ridculous litually every 2-3 mins at the moment horrendous.

What with the pain and flushes it is affecting my whole life, i’m of work again due to my illness and basically feel like SH1T.

Any advice pls….

I recieved my shot of depo 2 days ago. I know antibiotics may affect it. I discontinued my antibiotics one day after getting my shot, will my birth control remain unactive for the whole three months or just a short period of time?

last sept 2005, i was diagnosed with uti and hormonal imbalance, i took antibiotics for my uti and provera for the hormonal imbalance. when i last visited my dr. she confirmed that i am cleared of uti but did not mention anything abt the hormonal imbalnce, i wasnt able to continue my provera for 6months, i just had it for 3months that’s why im not sure if it’s been cured. im trying to get pregnant since dec. but sad to say im still not pregnant. it could still be due to the hormonal imbalance

help Iv’e been having night sweats lately ever since i started my birth control Necon 1/35 a month ago,i never have had night sweats till now, can it be because of my birth control or the antibiotics i was taking 3 and a half weeks ago? im 22
