Can i still get pregnant on depo provera?

I just started Depo provera about a month ago after i started i found out i had a serious infection and had to take various amounts of antibiotics. A few weeks have past me and my husband have been sexually active since then, now i am experiencing nausea, back ache, headaches, and even heartburn could the antibiotics affect my depo or is it just me ?

Would it be beneficial to go back on birth control? I have been feeling miserable since going off it (I was on it less than a year and recently felt sick after messing up on an week of pills and having a sinus infection on top of that). I’ve been prescribed Xanax and sleeping pills, but don’t feel they are helping me. I’m hot, cold, jittery, jumpy, and every possible side effect you can think of. I’ve been off the pill for a month now. I was taking it for a sweat gland disorder, but since I was off and on antibiotics it lost it’s effectiveness. (I was not on it for birth control, it was supposed to help my hormomes regulate since it was believed I got the sweat gland disorder due to messed up hormones).
Thank you for the suggestion, Katie M. I’m no longer experiencing hot flashes, but now I’m constantly cold all the darned time. I think I may still have a cold, though, because my son has been bringing home germs almost daily in the last month. He is prone to colds, and apparently, nowI am, too.

I’ve been on the seasoniqe birth control for 2 years, the one where I only have a period every 3 months. I had to take antibiotics and I waited a week to have sex without a condom, this was about a month ago. I have been sick a lot lately and have vaginal dryness. If I was pregnant could that me the reason for the vaginal dryness? Please no dumb answers I need serious people tohelpp me out. I’m going to the OBGYN in a week.

Night Sweats?

How much sweating would you have to do at night to be worried about night sweats? I just got diagnosed with a infection from my doctor. I’m not sweating profusely and it’s only my underarms and feet that are sweating. My hands are kinda clammy, thats it though. I do think I am a Hypochondriac. I for some reason keep thinking I have Leukemia but my parents, aunt(a nurse) and doctor all laughed at me. I started taking my antibiotics a day and half ago and nothing seems improved yet. I have one swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck(not both). My spleen felt good until I read about it being a syndrome, now I think my mind is making it have a pain every now and again. I also am worried cause I don’t have a fever. I haven’t lost weight or anything either. I haven’t been sick lately at all. I don’t have any lumps under my arms. I have had chills, nausea, and on and off headache. But those have been scarce since I started my medicine.
Sorry for rambling
Should I be worried?

I was in the hospital with a bad staph infection and was given really strong antibiotics for over a week and im also 5 1/2 months pregnant. during that time i been having horrible dryness could it be from the meds? if so what can i do to get rid of it

Can a chest infection cause night sweats?

Should I be worried about cancer?

My mom is 48 years old with no history of any sort of lymph node cancer in the past. She has been diagnosed with arthritis on the left side of her neck. A week or two ago she developed a sinus infection. She had a stuffy nose, drainage in the back of the throat, congestion in the head and chest, and a sore throat. She finished the antibiotics and she still has all the symptoms. She is still coughing up flem. Now she has a severe ear ache and below the ear the neck is sore (lymph nodes). She went to the doctor again and they told her she had an inner ear infection and prescribed her more antibiotics. she is almost done taking them and she is not feeling any better. She also has nightsweats but im not sure if it has any relation because she has been having hot flashes for almost a year now. Im just hoping this is not cancer, but if anyone knows what this sounds like let me know. She has an appointment to the ear nose and throat doctor tomorrow.

Another question about mono?

So I had a bad fever and everything you’d associate with mono about two weeks ago. My fever and everything eventually went away and I felt better, but I haven’t felt completely better.

A little after the fevers went away I got a sore throat and swollen tonsils and they put me on some antibiotics.

For the moment I seem to be feeling much better but still not even close to 100%. From time to time I just feel pretty sick (usually no big fever….maybe a small one) and at other times I feel better. I sometimes get cold sweats and the chills along with a low body temperature. I am just generally tired and dont feel great…. still kind of sick sometimes.

Does this happen as the mono leaves you? Do you still get nightsweats and chills even after your fever is gone?

Or should I be worried about something worse like lymphoma, leukemia, HIV etc….

Does the fever persist in those problems?
I guess Im just worried about still having night sweats, chills, fatigue

Lump in right side of neck for over 6 months?

Hello, I hoping someone can give me some insight, or has had a similar problem and can help me out. Okay here’s the story. I’m a 22 yr old male. I have a lump in the right side of my neck. Most likely a lymph node. About the lump, it’s probably about half an inch long and tube-like. Not round and ball-like, like most people describe it. It never really hurts extremely bad. Most of the time, not at all. The only time it’s really sore is when i have a headache. The size of the lump usually goes up and down a little, It never really gets very big, but sometimes gets really small, but doesn’t completely go away. Okay so this started about 6 to 8 months ago, I had an infected tooth. Was on antibiotics a few times. I had the tooth pulled completely. The lump started to go away and became less tender as time went on.(during the infection it did hurt quite a bit) Now like i said the lump has never completely gone away after months and months. I do have 4 more cavities to be taken care of and my very back top molar on the right side(same side as lump) is broken and needs to be pulled. Though the tooth has been broken for well over a year now and has not been painful or swollen. Wondering if this could cause my lump. The reason it’s taking me so long to get my dental work done is because I’m not eligable for free insurance through the government and am paying myself. I obviously don’t have an infection because i recently had blood work done because of a boil i had on my lower abdomen. The doctor said the blood work looks perfect and normal. So what I’m wondering is if the lump is caused by my teeth’s poor condition, the node has just failed to completely drain after prior infection, or if i should be worried about something more serious? Also I have had no other symptoms whatsover. No fever, feeling ill at all, no nightsweats, or anything of the sort, no weightloss. In fact, I’ve gained about 20 to 25 pounds in the last 4 months or so, due to a healthier lifestyle. So is this something to worry to much about right now given the circumstances. Also I haven’t had any other lumps pop up or anything. Hopefully I can get some insight on this one. It’s baffled me?

Best option for medical treatment of acne?

I believe my acne is hormonally caused. I’ve tried pretty much every kind of acne product out there. The only thing that came close to working was proactiv, but even that stopped working after a few months. My acne always comes in cycles, it gets really bad, then clears up till almost clear skin, then comes back. It may be related to stress, but I feel my next best option is to get medication. I’m female, so I know my options can be birth control pills or some kind of antibiotic medication, but I’ve heard negatives from both. Birth control pills can lead to weight gain and possibly make your menopause worse experience in the future. Antibiotics may mess up your immune system after long-term use. Are there any other options out there? If not, which one of these is a better choice?
What I mean by affecting menopause is that by the time you get to it, you may experience more of the negative symptoms associated with it, like hot flashes.
I read about this in a scientific article, so I know that is a risk.
