Actually, Chinese scientists are working on a male contraceptive shot that has the same effectiveness of the the female birth control pill. So if both genders have availability to effective birth control, would this change how men and women view sexual responsibility?

How does progesterone affect vaginal discharge?

Would it increase or decrease the amount? Would a birth control pill with higher progesterone decrease the amount of vaginal discharge?

I just stared taking the birth control pill 10 days ago and have had light spotting for the past two days. Is this normal? I also had very irregular pieriods and part of the reason I was put on the pill was to try and regulate them.

Do women in their 20s use estrogen cream?

because their birth control pill is causing vaginal dryness?

Also it wouldn’t cause arousal does it? Cuz the birth control I’m on gives me a high sex drive.

I use it for hormone replacement therapy because my body can’t produce hormones on its own.

Doing a project on birth controls, their effectiveness and effects on the body and no where can seem to really give me a specific answer.

How do birth control pills effect a woman’s body? How long until the effects start to take place?

What are the percentages of a condom and a birth control pill not working at preventing a pregnancy?

What is the safest form of birth control (I know someone is going to say "not having sex, bwahaha" so please don’t) and what is the most effective?

Thanks so much!

Okay so I need a birth control pill to regulate my period and for the sole purpose of birth control. What pill has the least side effects and is safe to take. It can’t stop my period at all, a lighter period is fine, but stopping it completely isn’t something I want. Even if its for a month. How long does it take for birth control to work, for it to prevent pregnancy?

i am on birth control pill – but it does not stop the moodiness. Would prefer not to be popping pills left and right – is there something else a person can do to regulate her moods during her cycle?

Is Estradiol 1mg effective as a birth control pill?

Will Estradiol 1mg work as a birth control pill? It is being used for HRT. It does not contain progesterone, so I am not sure. It would be nice to know!

If one is on the birth control pill, which tricks your body into thinking you are are pregnant…. then how do people experience PMS while they are still taking their active pills? I have PMS symptoms a few days before I stop taking the active pills and have my period.

How is natural family planning any different then a condom or a birth control pill? Your still preventing a potential baby and your not really giving your complete self away, if you know you probably won’t get pregnant. When I watched "Theology of the Body", there main argument was that you should give your complete self during sex as an expression of God’s love, and that contraception prevents giving your whole self. How is natural family planning any different?

I researched and it looks like I’m too young for menopause. I am on the birth control pill, as well as Pristiq for anxiety. I’ve always had PCOS, but these night sweats began within the last year – I also began the Pristiq this past year but I cannot recall if the timing coincides – anyone out there having the same issue and on Pristiq or any other ideas of what it could be (my thyroid is fine). Thanks!

I just started taking a progesterone only birth control pill this month (I’ve not been on birth control for a long time due to high blood pressure and combination birth control pills)…so this progesterone pill is a new thing for me. My breasts are so swollen and sore. I’m kinda small chested naturally but right now my breasts seem huge. It’s awful! Anyone else experienced this with progesterone only pills? What can I do to stop the breast tenderness and shrink back down to size without stopping the birth control? (I’m getting married this month and want to have the birth control protection!) Do symptoms go away after a while?

Its been 8 days that I just started taking the birth control pill Loestrin 24 and I been on my period ever since. I’ve had some light days and heavy days of bleeding. I been getting painful cramps, light headaches and been staying to myself. I already read that these are some of the side affects but can someone tell me when my period will stop???? This is driving me nuts and I just started taking the pill!

I have been on an estrogen/progesterone birth control pill since college. Now that I am over 40 I am considering switching to a progesterone only pill.

If you have switched from a pill containing estrogen to one containing only progesterone, can you let me know what side effects you experienced, if any? Would you recommend switching?

Thanks –
