If they don’t consider themselves as genderqueer, then how do they like opposite gender activities?
Many feminine males put on femme fashion, highlight their hair, do waxing and shaving off body hair, and are metrosexual, many also avoid masculinity. Many tomboys put on short hair, and avoid girly things. Still how do they feel comfortable as their gender? Or is it about gender roles only rather than gender identity and how? What biological factors?

Question about MTF HRT?

I know HRT for male to female transgendered pople doesn’t affect facial hair, but does it affect body hair? I have never hear of a MTF transsexual undergoing electrolysis on their whole torso before. But maybe I am wrong?

Hormonal Imbalance: Which Doctor?

I think I may have a hormonal imbalance. Should I go to a specialty doctor to have myself checked out? If so, which one? Or a "family" doctor?
I think it may be something the Pill can fix, but I do not want to be misdiagnosed.
All of a sudden I have grown more body hair and my breakouts have become inconsistent, as with my periods. I am 16 and lebanese, so I’m used to a little body hair, but I think my hormones went crazy over the past 4 months :/

are female hormones a bad ?

Im a 19 year old female.
I have an excessive amount of body hair. Thick hair, even on my hands & fingers?
I heard by taking female hormones your hair growth will gradually be reduced.
I can’t afford laser treatment. But my hair is such a problem in the way that I cant get close to anyone.
are female hormones a good/safe option for me? If so where can I buy them?

I have been interested in taking female hormones, not to have a sex change, but to give myself a higher voice and a more feminine look for my Hun, in addition to hoping it would thin out my body hair. Is there any way to do this without it affecting my chest, or only so in a way that will not be noticeable?
Yes I asked him and he thinks it would be cute, but he loves me either way

I am a 44 yr old woman of African descent. About 6 months ago I cut my waist-long, all-natural, 21 yr old dreadlocks. I was surprised to find the texture of my hair completely changed. Before it was VERY thick, coarse, and nappy (I don’t consider "nappy" a pejorative term, as "nap" actually refers to the texture of a rich, heavy fabric like velvet). But after being cut it was very soft and curly. I thought maybe it was a temporary thing, but 6 months later it’s still the same. I cut my dreads because my hair was thinning due to medications, & they were all about to break off anyway. My question- have any other POC experienced a dramatic change in hair texture like this? Is this something that sometimes happens with the natural aging process? with perimenopause? Or are the meds to blame (interferon & ribavirin)? I don’t think it’s due to the long time wearing dreadlocks because I’ve noticed a similar change in my body hair. It’s a mystery!

developing affects that are close to puberty-such as breast enlargment more body hair and to that effect. Is this what you have heard to? Any thought s on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I’m wanting to avoid going to a dr. as much as I can so I’m wanting to know any kind of herbs that are good for balancing hormones for a woman. And are Saw Palmetto, and Black Cohosh good for it? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
I’ve been having all kinds of mood swings, I’ve been a little irritable, excess facial and body hair, and very irregular periods *maybe 4 periods a year* so of course I know that there’s somethin’ going on (b/c I’m only 20 years old).

physically, into a member of the opposite sex?
Would you still make love?
This DOES happen. Say a wife’s boobies shrink, she grows body hair and her private region starts to look like a man’s, or hubby grows boobies and shrinks down below.
He/she had to do it for medical necessity, not for vanity.

Would going on birth control fix hormonal imbalance?

I think I might have a hormonal imbalance.
I have:
very irregular periods
a lot of body hair and some facial hair
i sweat a lot

I shave and wax all the hair I have, but I’m so sick of it. I just want to know whats causing it.
Will going on birth control get rid of excess hair?

What do you think about this? Wait til 2:00, that’s the good part, where he touches on feminism.

During menopause, women’s estrogen levels drop and their testosterone levels rise — that’s why women in their 40′s begin to have an increase of facial hair and body hair, and hair starts to thin in their scalps.

So, when I turn 40, and my estrogen levels rise, will my voice get higher pitched? Will I start eating chocolate ice cream out of the pint, while watching Oprah and talking on the phone twirling on the cord and kicking my leg up in the air? Will I start to complain & whine more? Will I go on G&WS and bash men?

What exactly are the effects of male menopause?

The second half of the video, the doctor gives advice on how we should prevent this. Simply put, like most things in life — nutrition and exercise. We can prevent the rise in estrogen and keep our testosterone levels high if we follow his steps. I will definitely heed to his advice. Heaven forbid I become estrogen-laden and end up like some of the women on this forum.
