mine is heavy only the first 2 days then for the next 5 days its light. But i hear a lot of girls complaining about how heavy their periods are, does that have something to do with genetics or their diet or any other factors?

For the last 5 months I have been getting my period every 40 to 50 days versus my usual 28 to 32 days. My gyno says I am not producing enough Progesterone and should perhaps take a pill called "Provera" to help with this and to regulate my period again. Honestly I am hoping that it goes back to the way it use to be without having to take any pills. I did not have a good experience with birth control so I am very hesitant in taking any hormones. I would rather do something natural. Perhaps a slight change in diet, more exercise, Yoga, aromatherapy..things of this nature which I hear can help. I suffer from IBS and GERD so I am almost certain that the change in diet and lifestyle I have had to make over the last year or so have contributed to these irregular periods. I was fairly sick over the last year as I tried to get control of my IBS and GERD, which have both improved greatly in the last year. My period seems to be the problem now, which in turn is making my GERD and IBS act up.

Is early 30's too early for menopause to begin?

I’ve been experiencing some odd things in the past 5 months. (approximation) Steady weight gain, regardless of diet and exercise, my disposition has become quite melancholy/irritable, insomnia, strange cravings, and extremely heavy menstrual flow. by heavy, I mean waking to a blood bath and having to change every hour. I’ve never been pregnant due to ovarian cancer treatment approx. 7 years ago. Any cause for concern?

Would a B-Vitamin deficiency lead to night sweats?

I’m a 22 year old male and I’ve been having recurring night sweats. I have no sources of B-vitamins in my vitamins, nor do I supplement with them (which is going to change). I have an obsessively controlled and limited diet that excludes whole-grain cereals, bread, egg yolks, yeast, cheese, milk, potatoes, etc.

Thanks for the moronic response, Doctor Retard.
Oh, and why in the hell is a 13 year old girl answering questions in the Men’s Health section. What the fuck….?

I am hoping somebody can offer me some kind of advice in relation to menopause & weight gain. I am 45yo and have gone through, what my doctors say, early onset menopause. I have not changed any factors in relation to my diet that have caused me to gain the excessive weight that I have. In fact, I have always been an extremely small eater for most of my life and continue to be the same. Although, I do not do any form of exercise I am constantly on the go I do not sit down until about 10pm. Does anyone know of a good treatment that can assist me with weight loss. This is getting me more depressed and anxious than the actual menopause. The mood swings alone that come with menopause are bad enough but now I have a self confidence problem due to the weight gain. I do not mind if the treatment is a prescribed treatment by a medical practitioner, as I will see my doctor and request it. Please, if anybody can help me, before I go stark raving mad, it would be very much appreciated.

How do you get your period back after severe dieting?

I’ve been on a diet for like 4 months, and my period that usually lasts a week came for only 2 days and was very light. I want to know what types of foods or nutrients I should eat in order to get my period back.

I am eating the same things I have always eaten, but have gained weight. My internist said it’s hormone changes. Any input on turning it around (besides diet and exercise).

Worried about hormones and female problems?

I get PMS, occasional migraines, started my period early, large breasted. Women in my family tend to get fibroids, and my grandmother had breast cancer. I think I am genetically predisposed to produce hormonal imbalances. How do I address this while I am still young? I worry my body produces too much estrogen. That can cause lots of health problems later on.
I am actually already changing my diet and drinking less caffeine in an attempt to address this

Hi,

Is it possible to lose weight during menopause?

i workout 5 days a week and diet but don’t seem to be losing any weight.

do tell what is more important to do for such woman for her diet, and exercise and medicines.

I have polysistic ovarian syndrome and it is really hard to lose weight. The sucky part is that I have a job were I sit all day. What would be the best diet for me? Also I only get a 15 minute lunch break so not much time to grab something to eat.

Hormonal imbalance – acne?

I’m a 30 year old female who has suffered from acne since I was 12. The acne the past 2 years has been entirely DIFFERENT, though. It is along my jawline and on my chin. Most definitely hormonal. Very emotionally draining. I would like suggestions to help the root of this problem (which is my hormonal imbalance). Please don’t say wash your face, change your diet, or stop touching your face. Those things are not causing my acne. It is the hormonal imbalance. I have done a colon cleanse, kidney/urinary cleanse, parasite cleanse, and two liver flushes. I am currently on no medications, but take a myriad of vitamins and herbs every day.
Thanks but I forgot to mention I do not wish to take any medications or birth control, internal or external. Only herbs or vitamins please :)
