I suffer from vaginal dryness. My doctors will not give me any medications for estrogen as they can cause cancer. I heard I can buy some herbs to help me. I do not want to use creams before sex because this is embarassing. I am 59 and divorced. Can somebody help me by directing me to the right herbs to buy?

I’m a junior in high school and im thinking about going to college to either be an obstetrician or a gynecologist. I was just wondering what classes you need to take/get good grades in to become those kindof doctors?

My father is 81 years old and on stage 3. his been diagnosed for 2 yrs now. he has done chemo and radiation but it was no good. Right now he is only on hormone therapy. that is the only treatment option that would work for my dad. Didn’t do any surgeries and no plans for it. Currently spread into the lymph nodes. Did a bone scan and its clear.
he also tells me, he is on medical marijuana. He puts them into a cookie recipe by making it himself and having them every now and then. he says its legal in the state of where he lives (CA).
Will this drug be a good thing for his body in this condition? his psa is currently 0.33 and has it check every 2-3 months. but after 1 and a half year from now, he is planning to stop the hormone therapy and have psa readings once a month. is that a good suggestion? his doctors might suggest him to do that.
I live and currently studying in New Jersey so this is really worries me all the time.
thanks for your info!

I asked the question because I heard on the radio tonight that phosomax (or fosomax) is prescribed for osteoperosis and because of some new problem after taking that for 5 years, doctors are suggesting that after 3 years of use that the patient needs to take a hiatis from the drug.
Personally I’ve been afraid to take calcium for fear it would build up in my system and cause deposits somewhere. Guess I just need to know more about osteoporosis.

Help! When I was 14 I started my period [September-ish] and in January i started getting this itching, burning, feeling and it hurt to pee–it felt like i had to go, but when i went barely anything came and it burned! It would come and every couple months. My periods still weren’t even regular yet. I know it’s was stupid but i started being sexually ‘playful’ with my boyfriend–which lead to being sexually actuive. and the iching, burning, and everything became a bit more frequent, ever 2 or maybe 3 months, and the symptoms would last about a week. and by now I was almost 16.
My boyfriend and I stopped and we know it was stupid and wrong, and we’ve completely taken care of that, even with our parents and everything so you don’t need to lecture me on that, please. I thought it was a yeast infection around this time so i took some like couple day thing to fix that and used the cream to stop the pain and itching. it went away then, but came back a month or two later.
It wasn’t consistent, and still isn’t, but i never wanted to go to the doctors because i was scared. so at this point in time it’s been at least two years, and it comes and goes.
I started thinking it was a urinary tract infection because all the symptoms for that fit me. and I talked to my dad about it–I’m closer to him then my mom. and i said it would go away and be gone for like 2 to 3 months so it wasn’t a big deal. but he was willing to take me to the doctors and said i should get it checked out.
Now I’m 17 and I’m still with the same guy, and we both have only EVER done stuff with each other, and although it has been over a year since we had sex, we still will play around occasionally but we are always REALLLY careful, like even when we did have ‘sex’ we would always pull out before he even exploded, not mattter if he had a condom on or not. [so i don't even know if you could call that sex to begin with but whatever.]
but right now I’m really scared because today it was itchy, but i went to the bathroom and was totally pain free, but before i went to bed i noticed it was really red, which is unusual for me. Then I noticed on the inside of the ‘lips’ or whatever you want to call them, there are white dots. I know normally there are bumps in the skin[[not huge or anything]] but now the inside skin is bright red, and the bumps are a white-ish color.
I’m really scared, I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
My boyfriend knows, and my dad knows most of it, but i just don’t know what to do.
I have always said once i turn 18 i’ll ask the doctors about it, but going from 14 to 18, would it get worse and turn into something really bad?
I’m scared I may have waited too long, please give advice, besides just simply going to a doctors.
have any of you ever had anything like this?
I mean I have researched it and i know some women get yeast infection every single month for there whole life, am i just that unlucky. :[ Or is something really bad wrong with me
I’m the type of person that jumps to the worst conclusion first, so i reply with your knowledge or opinion would be greatly appreciated!!

Im really worried about her, whenever she’s surrounded by too many people she hyperventilates, gets dizzy, and has even cried before. We’re both young (14 years old) and me being the down to earth friend (her being the over-exaggerating friend) im trying to convince her that most of it has to do with the fact that she blows things out of proportion and her teenage hormones are flowing like crazy
I WILL NOT let her take anti-depressants or anxiety drug. Nor do I want her to go to therapy. Is there some techniques she could do to calm her or some products to help stay calm? Or even better some home remedies.
thx
She has talked to her parents about this and her doctor about this. Luckily her doctor hasn’t brought up meds yet but i still don’t want her to take those, they can screw people up, i’d know
Im not saying that therapy is bad, i just want to try home remedies first to help her calm down.
She’s been like this for years, she over reacts to everything. Ive lived with girls (if i did not mention it, i am male) my entire life. I understand girls better then most girls do themselves (im not kidding). I think this is mostly coming from her ex whose been giving her a hard time. Combing the fact that I understand girls and ive known her for about 5-6 years i can tell the difference between over reacting and teenage angst to true anxiety attacks.
Therapy isn’t a bad thing but I want her to try some home remedies first (like drinking more water, eating more fiber, lemon juice, etc.)
One thing that I will admit though is that I hate doctors. I have a good reason though, they nearly killed my sister

If DHEA changes into Human Growth hormones which makes us all younger, why haven’t we heard about this from Drugstores and doctors?

I’m confused I was told to take prometrium for the first 10 days and wear my estradiol patch each week. But is one supposed to stop wearing the patch during the 10 days while you are taking prometrium?
Oh and of course I plan to contact my doctors but given the holidays I thought I could get a quick response in the meantime…

We are married for over 10 years. He has a latex allergic and I have many side effects with pills. We are still pulling on with all side effects with either pills or condoms. We consulted doctors and mostly the advise is to go in for implant or surgery. We do not want that because, we are afraid that this might affect a future child (we are planning after 3 years). Is there a safer means of contraceptive. I will be thankful if anyone gives me some good suggestions from experience. I Truly appreciate your answers.

He is working with this old lady that is rude and raises her voice at me when I ask for things I find trivial, like changing an appointment. This is my first child and everything is so great, other than the OBGYN visits every now and than. I just despise that assistant. Unfortunately she is the only one he has. I can change doctors but this office is right next to my home and the doctor is a friend of the family. Any good ideas?
