Feminine itching..pain..burning.. HELP!!!?

A few weeks back I went to my gyno and found out I had a yeast infection (my second in 2 years). I was prescribed a Diflucan and took it a few days later. The last time I had a yeast infection, due to candida, the Diflucan worked wonders. This time, NOTHING!

The area around my vagina is red, sore, itchy. There’s dry skin. It’s even flaking and I’m "sticking" to myself. :-( I feel so embarassed even typing this but I’m at my wits end! I’ve been having more discharge than normal, so much so that I need to wear pantyliners and change them often. I had a slight tear above my vagina and when I scratch (bad habit of scratching) it sometimes bleeds slightly.

I don’t know what is going on! I’m scared and freaking out. Is this more than a yeast infection?? What could it be?? Please only serious answers… :-( I’ve only been with ONE person.. any help is greatly appreciated! :-(
Also, I have the razor bumps on the area around my pubic hair and I’m scared to shave now. Could shaving have something to do with this too?? I should have mentioned the discharge is normally a creamy white or clear color.. but sometimes it leaves a yellow color in the panty liner.. and my urine has been very yellow at times as well.
Yes I plan to go to the doctor but I need to know what could be wrong or if this sounds like a yeast infection that got worse due to scratching :( :( :(
Thank you for the responses.. I’m so scared.. are there any std’s or serious illness it could be?? I’m hoping it is just a very bad yeast infection.. I mean the doctor said that’s what it was 3 weeks ago but blah…
I was prescribed Diflucan this time was well. I did not take it on my own. It’s one pill and I took it several weeks ago.

Ive had the menopause for 7 years now, and ive had HRT from my Doctor, which didn’t help. Ive tried natural remedies, but they didn’t work either. My worst symptoms are, hot flushes, mood swings, and the worst being my skin. Im only 53, but my face looks like a 60 yr olds, I have wrinkly dry skin and terrible acne, and my hands are shrivelled. There must be someone who has had success with some over the counter treatment.
Ive heard theres a pill called FX menopause or nutrafx, has anyone tried this and did it help with skin problems.

Could I have hormonal imbalance?

I’m 17, this has been going on for 3-4 months now.
My symptoms:
-Depression/Irritability.
-Fatigued.
-Mood swings.
-Sudden tears.
-Really emotional.
-Irregular periods.
-Dry skin.
-Nervousness/Extreme anxiety.
-Difficulty concentrating.
-Forgetfulness.
-Easily get UTI’S/Yeast infections.
-Feel I’m not myself anymore.

Every and any little thing that isn’t something that makes me happy, makes me have to hold back a pool of tears. It’s overwhelming and it’s making me feel like I’m going crazy or something. When it’s happening I know I shouldn’t be upset but it won’t stop. I’m always tired too. I just feel like I’ve lost myself. Could this be hormonal imbalance?
I’m also crabby a lot of the time too now, which I used to never ever be crabby. I feel like I’m always going through PMS even when my period isn’t close at all.
I’m also 96 pounds, with a very high metabolism. And only a 32A, if that has any significance. I first got my period about a year and a half ago.

Hormonal imbalance? Possible pregnancy?

Is this a hormonal imbalance or something more?
I just finished having a very irregular period following a couple weeks of exhaustion. (During those weeks I had tons of hot flashes and cold sweats.)

I’m normally right on time for my period — it’ll come at about the exact same time each month, give or take a day or two. It typically lasts about 5 days, where the last day and a half to two days is just brown spotting. This month it came 4 days early. It didn’t do its typical light-to-heavy-to-light cycle. It varied between spotting, stopping, and full-on bleeding (enough to fill a regular-sized tampon every 4 hours).

I’m on about day 7 now, after about two and a half days of bloody spotting. The red blood spotting has turned brown. (A little more about that: I had clitoral-stimulated orgasm the last two days, and that induced more blood to come out. I hear that’s normal, but it has never happened to me before.)

I’ve had headaches, my nipples are hard, much darker, (typically very flat and light, takes a lot of cold and stimulus to make them erect), my areolae have a bit of dry skin on them. I’ve felt lethargic and out of sorts. For example, I feel like I need to eat but when I eat I feel like I’m forcing the food down my throat. I’m wondering if I’m sick. I used a condom the only time I had sex last month but it DID happen to be when I was ovulating. Knowing there was a slight chance for pregnancy, I took a HPT, but it came out negative. I’m going to see a doc a the end of the month, but until then, what do you think is going on with me?

P.S. – I’ve also been having a lot of shortness of breath, especially when lying down to sleep at night.
P.P.S. – Some of these symptoms are easily "imagined" but I’ve thought I was preggo before and my nipples never changed.

Vaginal dryness?

Is it possible to have dry skin/ ezcema on your pubic mound? My vaginal lips don’t itch, the mound just itches. Ezcema/dry skin runs in my family, could that possibly be the reason for the itching? Oh, yeah took STD tests already doc said no signs of lice all results wer negative.

Hormonal Imbalance–which one do I have?

What type of hormonal imbalance do I have?
Possible fertility problems
Don’t always ovulate
Breasts aren’t considered *full*
Ovarian cysts
Dry skin, moderate acne
Anxiety, Asthma, Allergies
Blood clots during menstrual cycle
Typically 24-27 day menstrual cycles

age: 24

What do these symptoms sound like to you.?

Stomach spasms (not painful) on and off for the last year.
Constipation and then some times stool is like water on occasion. More often consitpation.

Lightheaded sometimes. Constant dry mouth, and urination certain times. Dry skin sleepy right after eating, head ache, sweat alot in my sleep even though I am cold. Constantly feel hungry. Some times I get irritable with long periods of not eating, and certain foods cause massive GERD. I have GERD and I do not have diabetes. I was tested for that 2 years ago. I am tired of going to the doctor. Just wondering if anyone has had similiar symptoms. I don’t always feel horrible, I almost feel dehydrated all the time, but I drink tons of water and gatorade.

No , I know I am not pregant 100% sure.

And, I am not going through menopause.

I like to think that I am not overweight or psychially out of wack. I am a 30 year old female.

dry skin, increased wrinkles and thinning hair? thanks.

I’ve been blessed with a great complexion, what they call here in the south a "peaches and cream" complexion. I get an occasional pimple and that’s it. My skin has never been oily or dry, just normal. All I’ve ever had to use is a light moisturizer. All of a sudden my skin is SO dry. My cheeks and chin, upper arms, back and legs are extremely dry. I’ve tried moisturizer for extra dry skin, tried putting it on as soon as I get out of the shower to seal the moisture in. It’s been pretty dry here lately, but we have a humidifier to help with that. I drink plenty of water. I am 42 years old and technically in perimenopause. Could this be a hormonal issues. Does anyone have any ideas, tips, suggestions etc…?

My mom went through menopause at about 42. And so did her mother. So out of me and my two sisters looks like I’m the one that’s going through it young. I’m really worried because I’ve heard it can really age a person. I already have dry skin to begin with and very fair skin. My mom looks great she’s 72 and her mom also looked great even when she died at 90. But everyone’s different and my skin is not as thick as hers I don’t think. She’s very fair like me but my texture skin is different. I’m so worried is there any reassurance that this won’t age me. I’m still single and this really worries me! If I start looking old I’m doomed!
I’ve had a test at the dr and my levels were normal but my dr said they fluctuate so they may have just been ok that time. I have hot flashes, depression, mood swings, gained weight around the stomach.
Oh and does it age you during perimenopause or right after menopause I mean when does this process happen? I mean if my periods stop at 41 will I look really old then?

I am interested in learning about treatments without any type of hormones. I do not even want the bioidenticals. Please let me know if you have tried anything else for hot flashes, dry skin, dry mouth, irregular sleep patterns, stiffness, etc. Thank You very much.
