I definitely NEVER want to have kids, and quite frankly am not capable of supplying children with the sufficient emotional support, so I SHOULD never kids (and if I ever changed my mind, I would ADOPT and take care of the children that still NEED families before bringing more into the world), and I would definitely like to get a hysterectomy sometime in my 20s or 30s- tampons, in my opinion, are SUCH waste of money, so I think surgery would definitely be worth the financial investment.
I’ve heard stories of premenopause and such in response to a hysterectomy- is this true? If I were to get a hysterectomy in my 20s or 30s, would my body put itself into early menopause? Or would I just get symptoms of menopause due to the sudden extreme change in hormone levels? How long would this last- the average amount of years of natural menopause, or less?
Thanks!
@snowwillow20, I said I want to get one for the FINANCIAL benefits of not having my period, I don’t mind having my period in general.
Obviously all women range with the amount of years menopause lasts, my question was does getting a hysterectomy result in a average menopause, or is it shorter than a natural one.
@TriQ- I was not aware of hormone therapy- my friend’s mother never had to spend a penny on therapy after her hysterectomy.
@janniel- THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO! This sounds much more sensible to me.
I guess I wasn’t clear enough, but I want to discontinue my period for FINANCIAL reasons- I don’t just want to pamper myself by ridding of my period.
I honestly just don’t want to spend money on tampons for so many years.
@nascar88gyrl- Thanks so much for the info!
