I am in my early twenties, constantly getting vaginal infections, am irritated and red every day of my life, missing periods, and intercourse with my fiance is impossible because my skin is so thin it rips. My gyno says there is no doubt i am seriously lacking estrogen- but he does not believe in perscribing hormones due to endometrial cancer risk. All i can do is take birth control pills and premarin topical cream. This is not enough, because i only am getting minor releif. I am planning on marriage soon, and hoping to start a family in the next few years. Will having low estrogen now pose a problem for when i want to conceive? How can i even have a sexual relationship with my husband if i am always so sore? Is it really that dangerous to take estrogen? or should i find a doctor who can perscribe it for me? I don’t want the risk of cancer, but I’d like to be able to live a normal life. If i were given hormones for treatment would i have to take it forever, or temporarily? Help!

How do I deal with my fiance's moodiness?

My fiance seems to get edgy most of the time. How can I avoid that without getting upset at him back? I really don’t care for moody men, but I am deeply in love with him and just needing to know how can I deal with it better, especially in front of the children, his daughter is 16 and my son is 11? It really upsets her when we argue if front of her and my son. Obviously her dad doesn’t care, but I most certaintly do.

What happens on your first obstetrics appt?

I was just wondering what happens on your first obstetric appt? And when is it that they usually give you sonogram pics? My fiance and I were ttc for 3 years and he says that’s when he’ll believe that I’m pregnant. When he sees a sonogram pic lol.

Getting pregnant after Depo-Provera?
I have a three year-old son, and I have been using depo-provera every 3 months for the last three years (no spotting or period while using depo). My fiance and I have decided we want another baby, and I was wondering about your experiences… From what I’ve gathered, it will at least be a year before my period will return.

I really appreciate all answers! Thank you! Wish us luck!

My fiance and I are getting married in June of 2009 and we know he has fertility problems. We’d like to start having kids almost right away once we’re married and we know it will take awhile to figure out the best method (and surgery may be involved), so I’d like to start exploring our options with fertility clinics before we are even married. Would it be odd for a couple who is not yet married to start going to a fertility clinic? We wouldn’t be trying to actually conceive until after marriage.

im 25 and haven’t had a period in about 2 years. my fiance and i are trying to get pregnant. we have been trying for 4 years. i have gone to my gyno and she ran all the blood tests she could and did a pelvic ultrasound all of which came out normal. and she wanted to stick me on birth control pills. i am charting my bbt again so i can take it to an re that we have decided to see in 6 months. i have charted b4 but with no periods i felt it was pointless. anyways my question is will progesterone cream help me have a period? and i know it doesn’t make u ovulate, that i would need clomid for, but could i ovulate on my own once ive had a few periods? even if i don’t im mostly wanting to shed the old lining so that when i begin clomid i have a healthy endometrial lining.thank you to all for any help/advice/experience you can give.

A few facts first. I can’t ask my RE, I bought my clomid. I have had five chemical pregnancies with my fiance, all ending between 4-5 weeks. I started BBT charting and noticed I had a luteal phase defect. (My cycle was consistently 27-28 days, but I would O around cd20.) I researched the treatment and decided to go with clomid cd5-9, along with progesterone cream, 1/4 tsp, 2x/day. (Fem-gest)
On cd31 I took a hpt. Bfn, retook early this morning, cd 35, bfn. Then this afternoon I started bleeding, or so I thought, so I put in a soft cup. Now, 12 hours later, I removed it and there was just brown goo. I am sorry for the gross description, but that is what it was.
All the info I have found seems to point to old blood in the uterus. My question is this: Does anyone know if taking the clomid during my last period could have not allowed my menstrual cycle to clear out completely? Or is there maybe a hormonal issue due to the cream?

Please don’t give me crap about not being under the care of a physician. I am currently on state assistance for my medical insurance. STATE ASSISTANCE DOES IN FACT COVER CLOMID! However I am not going to milk the taxpayers of NH for me to have another child. I will be on my fiance’s insurance once we are married, however I don’t want to marry someone I cannot have a child with.

Do prenatal vitamins help with hormonal imbalance?

I’m pretty sure i have a hormonal imbalance because of how irregular my periods have always been. I haven’t had it in four months now, and when i took a pregnancy test a month and a half ago it was negative, but yesterday and today i got positive. I am going to see my doctor on Friday, but after reading that hormonal imbalance is a common cause of miscarriage, my fiance is going to pick me up some prenatal vitamins at the store today, just to be on the safe side. Any that help with a hormonal imbalance just in case i really do have one?
I stopped with all of the junk food and fast food about 3 months ago, so i already eat right. That’s really all you need to do??

trying to have a baby for 7 months. whats wrong?

My fiance and I are trying to have a baby. We have used ovulation tests, he has gotten his little swimmers checked to see if they are ok (his count is a little low, and they are also a little lazy, meaning slow swimmers). I am prenatal vitamins as well to help. We have been trying to have a baby for 7-8 months and every month, I get my period. I am ovulating, but the last 2 months my period has been between 3-7 days late. I took pregnancy tests both times I was late, expecting them to be positive, but they are not. Also, the last 2 months my period has been very light in flow and color.

Nobody in either of our families has ever had fertility problems, or problems conceiving. Actually, it’s the other way around. My cousin, as well as my brother, had children without even trying or being married. My cousin has 2 and my brother has 3. My parents got pregnant the first time they tried. So did everyone else in my family and my fiance’s family.

Before I met my fiance, I was engaged to 2 other men. Both times, we tried to have children. So my fiance would be the 3rd man I have tried to have a baby with. My doctor said that I am normal, my cervix looks great for baby making, my ovaries and fallopian tubes look wonderful, so does my uterus. I do get abnormally sized cysts in my right ovary during my period, but I was told that it will not affect me from becoming pregnant because it is only there during my period. My fiance and I are both NEGATIVE for all STD’s that the doctor had tests for.

I have changed my diet to be more baby-making friendly. I quit smoking 8 months ago, and neither of us drink or do drugs of any kind, other than occasionally taking pain medications. We cut down on soda. I have 2 cats, one of which died recently, so we got a kitten to replace her. Before we started trying to get pregnant, I always cleaned the litter boxes. Now that we are trying, my fiance cleans the boxes so I’m not at risk for toxoplasmosis. If he is not home, and the litter boxes need cleaning, I put on surgical gloves and a bandana around my nose and mouth or a surgical mask and immediately take a shower afterwards.

I was hospitalized 1 year ago for a week because I have kidney problems. I get kidney stones (apparently every male on my fathers side has them, but instead of my brother getting them, I got them). Sometimes, my kidneys act up. I get a little sick, but its nothing that bed rest for a day, cranberry juice, and a lot of water wont fix. My urologist and OB-GYN agreed that my kidney issue shouldn’t affect me from getting pregnant, but I have to be very careful while I am pregnant.

Does anyone know what I can do to help me get pregnant, without doing any hormone therapy or in-vitro. I want to conceive naturally. Thank you!
i did use a fertility calender online, and i also used the Answer Ovulation test 20 strip every month. It says I ovulate around the same time every month. I should ovulate this weekend.

toxoplasmosis.. i have only had cats for 3 years, so i dont think thats enough time for me to build up an immunity. my parents HATE cats. i had one for about a year growing up and it attacked my grandma so they gave him away. i was 7 so i never went near the litter box. i didnt even know where my mom kept it. im OCD, so everything is always clean (cooking surfaces) and i always cook everything thoroughly.

i do however suffer from depression. i’ve had it since about 2004 when a loss in my family occured. the medications for it effect me in an undesirable way, so my doctor told me not to take it, and since im trying to have a baby i dont take it anyway. would depression cause me to not get pregnant? i forgot to ad that in.
also, i want to CONCEIVE NATURALLY. meaning, i want my fiance and i to have sex to make a baby. i dont want some doctor putting his sperm in me, or taking my egg and his sperm and mixing them in a dish. i want this to be natural, personal.

having a doctor help, to me at least, isnt the same as my fiance getting me pregnant. its still going to be his baby, but i dont feel that its the same.

so no, im not going to consider in-vitro, or the procedure where the doctor puts the sperm into me. if it wont happen naturally, it wont happen at all. we have however considered adoption. we want a baby, but we dont want a doctor to get me pregnant.

Can I have sex while having cysts on my ovaries?

I know this probably sound dumb but can I still have sex with my fiance, even though I have cysts on my ovaries?

Vaginal Dryness & Pain 2?

Is vaginal dryness & pain common in young females? I’m only 17 so I doubt it is a menopausal matter. I also use plenty of lube but it is still often painful, and I dry out quikly. However, my fiance & I get to it after just 5 minutes of foreplay. Is insufficient foreplay the case here?

Does having a hysterectomy change your libido?

I am considering a hysterectomy, but I am afraid it will seriously impact my relations with my fiance’. Anyone have any answers? What experiences have you had? How did it effect you?

I have a hormonal imbalance?

Can anyone help me with how to fix this. I went to the doctor around the begining of march and was put on prevera to help it ( before that I hadnt had a period for 3 months) and then had a period the end of that march. Now I havent had a period in april and no signs of one coming this month.
My fiance and I are wanting to try for a child but with the imbalance I cant find out when I ovulate. Or if I can even get pregnant.
The doctor says that the only other way to fix this problem is to be put on birth control but I cant be put on that and still get pregnant. I also believe that there has to be something else out there to do to fix it. Please help if you can…thanks.

Last month I had my period for 2 weeks straight, with a pretty heavy flow. Now I am about 4 days late on my period, but am getting heavy, clear discharge. My fiance and I have been using the pull out method and have been off of birth control for a few years now. My periods are usually normal. I havent been feeling any cramps. Please help! Thanks.

I am wanting a baby. I am 35, had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago. My mom has volunteered to be my surrogate. She is 53. Are my eggs still viable for conception? My fiance is 40. What are our chances of conceiving? Any information would be great.
