I am 23 yrs old and I have always been irregular since I started having my period at 13. Last month, I was nearly a month late and the doctor prescribed me Primolut N, and my period came after a week. During the course, I noticed that I was so energized and felt so good. I am usually very difficult to get up in the morning, sleep for 9-10hrs, and still not feeling refreshed after a long sleep. On the other hand, it is like a chronic fatigue. I read online and I came to the conclusion that I am suffering from hormone imbalance, which must be Progesterone, that causes irregular period and fatigue. In the past, I had taken a test for hormones and I was told that one of my hormones is lower than what it should be. At that time, I didn’t pay attention and forgot which one it was.
This is my CF test result,
Estradiol = 61pg/ml
Progesterone = 0.3 ng/ml
fsh = 6.8 mIU/ml
LH = 14.7 mIU/ml
prolactin = 16.7 ng/ml

although it is said that, it can be varied every day, before pre-ovulation and mid-cycle, I believe it is progesterone which is causing me all these problems. I looked for the supplement on the internet for Progesterone. I found nowfood natural Progesterone cream has lots of rave reviews. I wonder if it is suitable for a 23 years old young woman. I will go for detail check up and see the doctor when I have enough money, but I have to cure this right now with some over the counter medication. Thanks for the reply.

My best friend recently found out she has a hormonal imbalance. the doctor says that birth control pills can treat a hormone imbalance, which I do not think is true…birth control pills only mask the symptoms, not treat them. I heard that there are natural herbal remedies to treat a hormone imbalance. If her age makes a difference in any way, she is 14.
I am asking, does anyone know any home-made or herbal remedies that work to treat a hormone imbalance? And does anyone know any good reliable websites with treatments (that do not include birth control pills)?
Thank you so much!

-I am sorry if this question is quiet vague, she has forgotten to tell me which hormone is missing, and I haven’t been able to reach her lately.-

What are the symptoms of female hormone imbalance?

Because, I’ve always had a lot of (mostly minor) problems that are usually associated with sex hormones, I’ve been wondering for a long time if I might have a sex hormone imbalance. I won’t go into the details because I’m not looking for a sample diagnosis, but I want to know more about this topic, so that I can decide if I should get tested or not. What kind of tests should I get to start off, how expensive are they, and will a doctor agree to do the blood tests based on my request alone? Maybe you could show me some websites to look at. I’ve googled it, but I don’t really know what I’m doing.
Some people might misinterpret this question as a politely indirect question about pms, menstruation, or emotional problems. I don’t have problems with any of these things, and I do not feel sick, run down, or moody, in case your wondering. Thanks :)

Legions of women across America are going about their daily lives feeling out of sorts. "You feel flat and you feel tired, you haven’t had a good night’s sleep in two years [and you're] just going through the motions, trying to get through the day," Oprah says. "You feel like your life force is being sucked out of you." Hormone replacement therapy is relevant to women of all ages, Oprah says. "If you’re a woman who’s planning to live past the age of 35, at some point you’re going to face hormone imbalance," she says.

Is Oprah correct?

having a hormonal imbalance?

Around the beginning of last year i went to the doctor, at this doctor visit i was told that the reasoning for my irregular periods where from a hormonal imbalance and he put me on birth control to regulate me. In August I missed two pills and began to panic as if i were pregnant and stopped taking the pills. I went seven months with no period after I discontinued the pills. He also Diagnosed me with have prehypertension (high blood pressure) and that i am "overweight". at the time i weighed maybe 230. im probably up to at least 250. For the past two weeks I have been bleeding and in a sense it would seem like i was bleeding like a stuck pig. I was reading the other day that i could be anemic or have a type of anemia and that could explain why im feeling weak, tired, stressed and having stomach pains. Is this something that I would go see my regular family doctor about or would I need to go and see a gynocologist? Ive never been to a gynocologist before. My husband and I are trying to start a family and I am beginning to thing that this hormone imbalance thing has a lot to do with it because i don’t even have that much of a "sex drive" anymore. Is there a certain medication that I may need to ask for to clear this up? I began taking prenatals because i was told it would help in the process of having my body ready to conceive. Also is this true. I am going to be making a doctors appointment soon im just not sure what doctor to go see and exactly what to tell them. Any sugguestions or comments are greatly appriecated. Thanks.

I am looking to change my birth control. I am on a low dose and I was looking to change it to something with more estrogen and progesterone to keep my hormone levels more even. I’ve been on the low dose and I have had a hormone imbalance causing me some weird body issues hence the change in pills.
Weird body issues like having my period (full blown, not spotting) three times and I started having discharge out of my breasts. If anything since I’ve been on birth control, I’ve lost a lot of weight. Thanks for the tips.

I’m 18. I’ve never had sex. Every time I get turned on though, I’m dry. I’ve had the female version of "wet dreams" but without the wetness. Is this a hormone imbalance or something? It’s never been itchy, painful or smelly, so it’s not a yeast infection.
There’s no way I’m going through menopause lol. I’m too young and my period’s still going

Irregular period, progesterone cream?

I’m only 16 and my period has been very irregular and I’ve been skipping months at a time. I’m almost underweight, and I’m trying to get more sleep but I eat very healthy food. I’ve been applying progesterone cream to try to regulate it for a few days, is this a good idea? What should I expect? Will there be any hormone imbalance from this?

Thanks a lot!
If gaining weight is the problem, I have trouble with that because I can’t eat meat but I do get enough protein etc.

Help with hormonal imbalance?

I’m 21 years old. My menstrual cycle has never been regular since I was 12 years old. My periods would last for months at a time. I was on my period for months before I went to the GYN about it. She said it was a hormonal imbalance and prescribed birth control pills. That was fine for about 3 months. Then my periods just stopped altogether. I stopped taking them in October and still haven’t had a period. I decided I didn’t want to use BC as a solution because I want to start trying for a baby in the next few years and I don’t see it as a very effective long term solution. I wanted to go a more natural route with diet, exercise, etc. I’ve searched high and low on the internet. Everything I’ve found about hormonal imbalance is pertaining to menopause. I’m not in menopause by any means. Does anyone know of any site or book or anything that’s a good one for this subject?
I did tell the doctor that I didn’t want any form of birth control because I was going to start trying to conceive with my husband in the next few years. I went in there for regulation. She told me she’d just prescribe me BC pills for right then because she felt I was having a hormone imbalance and she’d deal with the problem of conceiving with me when I actually decided to start trying. I just feel that I was prescribed BC pills because it was the easiest thing to do without looking at other options.

Progesterone cream for hormone imbalance???

Well first of all I have a hormone imbalance which causes my period to come only once every few months….recently i went to a dermatologist for a darkish discoloration on my upper lip and she told me it is a result of my hormone imbalance and recommended for me to rub progesterone cream on it…..has anyone ever tried this?

I live in Lincoln Ne and I’m having trouble getting good help with my hormone imbalance. Nobody seems to know anything about Andropause. I ask questions about testosterone replacement, estrogen and hcg and its like I’m talking to a wall. There are multiple websites for HRT but I can’t find any reviews. Wondering if anybody has been involved with someplace and can verify that they are legit.

I am super heavy on my period… I mean especially for someone petite like me… I am always aroused, by nothing at all. I masturbate at least 5 times a day. My breasts are sore, my acne is acting up, and my hair is thinning. My mood swings from one extreme to the next, and I am craving everything in sight. I know I am not pregnant, because I am not sexually active. Could I have a hormone imbalance? I am only 18 years old!

My father-in-law’s girlfriend who is 50 or so is saying she is pregnant. Says she has a positive pregnancy test. Someone said it happens in menopause because of hormone imbalance. True or false?
