Ok, so it’s been four months since I delivered my son vaginally. I had a small tear which didn’t need stitches, however my son was stuck in the birth canal for over an hour. After my 6 wk checkup (Doc didn’t actually look inside, just checked uterus), hubby and I tried to have sex. It felt like a knife cutting me! We waited a few more days and tried again but it was not happening. At 9 wks postpartum I went back to my doctor and after examining me he said that I hadn’t healed and that it was due to breastfeeding. He gave me estrogen cream to use for a month, well two weeks after using the cream my milk supply was almost gone!! I immediately stopped the cream. My husband and I have tried several times, of course with tons of lubrication. I even tried Replens for a week. I don’t have insurance now so I can’t see my doctor. I cant’ imagine that I haven’t healed by now! Also, my urethra has never closed and has remained red and painful, even when wiping.

I have always had a problem with heavy periods. Infact, I was once put on birth controll so they wouldn’t be quite so heavy. I can’t do that now, though because hubby and I sort of TTC. I’m miserable, though. I know this is TMI but, for the first few days of my period it is VERY heavy. For example, I will wear a pad(Stayfree ultra thin overnight) and tampon(OB Heavy Days- a step above super plus) both for security but, I usually have to change the tampon every couple hours because of major leakage. I get nervous at night because I have had "accidents" before due to "leakage". Of course, I’ve learned to controll that now somewhat by, getting up every so often to change hygenic products. This sucks, though because it means waayyy less sleep.
I just wish I could figure out a way to controll my heavy periods because I am so miserable and bloated feeling because of this. HELP!
I do not wish to go any kind of birth controll since hubby and are are sorta trying to have a baby.
Also, I am 26.

I was just wondering how far different people traveled to go to their fertility clinic. My hubby and I are going to be traveling 3 1/2 hours to see our RE. I was also wondering how they did all the testing and ultra sounds when you live so far away. if you any suggestions of things you have done or learned, please feel free to share!

I have insurance and everything, but I was just wondering what the monthly expense is for fertility pills. I haven’t been to the doctor yet, but my hubby and I have been ttc for 9 months now with no luck.
