I’m having Laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis treatment, to burn or laser it off. Then will be put on medication that will pretty much put me into temporary menopause and will give me nasty symptoms. If that doesnt work, Ill have a hysterectomy.

Since the return rate is high, I’m concerned about possibly putting myself through multiple surgeries that have risks aswell as medication hell, when I could just get rid o f it for good.

So which is safer.. hysterectomy or the laser treatment and medication? My doc said he doesnt want to do a hysterectomy on the first attempt. I dont wana deal with this pain any longer!

Several months ago the doctor said my low bone density should be treated. He tried me on Fosamax first and I got so sick. I didn’t know for a while that it was the medication doing it, but it totally tore up my intestinal tract and I dropped down to 93 lbs. After several months of recovery, and taking Prilosec with meals; he has started me on Actonel. This week was my second dose and I am starting to have terrible abdominal pain and diarrhea. It all feels too familiar.

Hiya.
My name is Alice :)
My mum is getting me to see the doctor as my periods are very heavy, worse than anyone has told me and she also is a little worried.
however more than likely they will give me medication to try and control it a little and I was wondering if anyone knew if it would lower my chances of concieving for a baby in the future?

Thanks.
It’s medication except for the pill and the pill does lower your chances for a couple of years until you stop using it but yeah…

My mother is really getting bent over from this disease and I don’t know what to do! Also what kind of medication will help reverse bone loss?

I need to go in for my yearly visit but lately i’ve been having some anxiety and depression issues that seem to be becoming worse. Becuase of insurance I realize I need to be reffered by a doctor and just can’t make an appoint with a psychiatrist. Can I go to the gynecologist and while I’m there get a refferal to a psychiatrist for counseling and medication?

Hi,
I want to try for about 2 weeks to do HRT to se what its like, but i cant seem to find any non-prescription MTF HRT medication, any suggestions?

I am 23 yrs old and I have always been irregular since I started having my period at 13. Last month, I was nearly a month late and the doctor prescribed me Primolut N, and my period came after a week. During the course, I noticed that I was so energized and felt so good. I am usually very difficult to get up in the morning, sleep for 9-10hrs, and still not feeling refreshed after a long sleep. On the other hand, it is like a chronic fatigue. I read online and I came to the conclusion that I am suffering from hormone imbalance, which must be Progesterone, that causes irregular period and fatigue. In the past, I had taken a test for hormones and I was told that one of my hormones is lower than what it should be. At that time, I didn’t pay attention and forgot which one it was.
This is my CF test result,
Estradiol = 61pg/ml
Progesterone = 0.3 ng/ml
fsh = 6.8 mIU/ml
LH = 14.7 mIU/ml
prolactin = 16.7 ng/ml

although it is said that, it can be varied every day, before pre-ovulation and mid-cycle, I believe it is progesterone which is causing me all these problems. I looked for the supplement on the internet for Progesterone. I found nowfood natural Progesterone cream has lots of rave reviews. I wonder if it is suitable for a 23 years old young woman. I will go for detail check up and see the doctor when I have enough money, but I have to cure this right now with some over the counter medication. Thanks for the reply.

Can depression and anxiety cause a low sex drive?

Hi,
I’m 18 (male) and ive been suffering with depression and anxiety for some time now and have noticed that my sex drive has become almost non existent. I am concerned as at my age I should be going through my sexual peak.

Could the depression and anxiety be the cause, or could it be other factors such as low testosterone levels or other hormone imbalances? Im not taking any medication e.g. anti depressants.

Thanks….
Also would having testosterone imbalances mean I have stunted my height growth?

Someone told me that the mares used for the collection of their urine were injected with cocaine, and that this could cause false positives for cocaine on a drug screen of the urine of women who regularly take this medication. I was randomly tested yesterday at work and I want to know if this could affect my results!! And what could I do legally to prove that this is the cause?

My doctor diagnosed me with polycystic Ovaries, however I do not have much of the symptoms that is associate with polycystic ovaries and was given the medication of Glucophage and it have me feeling very nausea and bloated with upset feeling. Is this normal and should i continue to take it.

It doesn’t make sense. Why do your breasts hurt the week before your period when your progesterone is high and your estrogen is low? I thought estrogen caused PMS symptoms.

What can you take for specifically the breasts or just in general that’s not medication?

Any tips on how to reduce menstrual cramps?

I’m fourteen years old and I got my first period about two years ago.
Every time it’s that time of month, I get extremely terrible cramps (usually they are more painful the second day).
Are there any ways to reduce menstrual cramps without taking any pills or medication?
What foods or drinks are best to eat/drink during my time of month?
Is it better to drink cold or hot drinks?

Thanks for the help!

Considering that I’m allergic to acetaminophen (an active ingredient in Tylenol), I’m – for the most part – hesitant to take any medication for menstrual cramps, so I was just wondering about any home remedies available to alleviate the pain..
