I just had Mirena removed December 1. My husband and I had sex that night ( I could’ve been ovulating but am unsure), but considering the difficulties we went through to conceive our twin daughters, who just turned 2 in September, I didn’t think we could get pregnant again quickly. I had some bleeding after removal of the IUD, which was expected, but it stopped. Then I started what looked like the very beginning of a period on Monday, Dec. 14 (brownish stuff) and now, Wednesday, there’s a little red when I checked my panties. I’ve been feeling nauseous since Sunday afternoon, but only in the afternoon through evening. I took a pregnancy test this morning, but it came up negative. So why do I still feel so nauseous? Are my hormones playing tricks on my stomach since I don’t have my IUC anymore and my body isn’t used to it yet? I was on the pill for years before we started trying to conceive my daughters and I never felt sick during that or during fertility treatment. I’m almost 31, so I don’t think it has anything to do with menopause. I am not undergoing any fertility treatment at all right now, nor do I plan to this time around. I am so confused. Please help!

Hot flashes?

Hi,
Please let me know if anybody has hot flashes and how they dealt with it. My mom has it- during night, even using a towel which is not baby soft hurts her, her hair when it falls on her body causes more discomfort. She complains of having depression. She has been having it for 10 yrs and she started going to gynec but there is only temporary relief. Had anybody of you had it? How did you fight it? She does not want to go for hormonal supplements and is more interested in organic products. Kindly help me out here. No crude jokes or rudeness please.
Thanks in advance.
She has been having them for a long time as a result of menopause.

My step-sister is going to turn 20 next month.

She is of average weight, is not hairy, doesn’t have period pains, has regular periods, no history of PCOS in family, good diet, not much exercise, she has never had irregular periods before, she has clinical depression, she isn’t losing any hair from her head, she has normal blood pressure & isn’t diabetic as far as I know.

She had her periods from the age of 11. Her periods are very regular & she is generally a healthy person overall.

However, for the first time (this week) she has had her periods 4 days late. In addition, her periods are VERY light, almost as though she’s not even menstruating!
She isn’t feeling any pain or anuthing, but this is very unusual.

Stress does not affect her periods & her diet is perfectly normal.

What could be wrong with her?

Is it PCOS or is it premature menopause?

How would she know which one she’s got & how would a doctor diagnose a person with PCOS or premature menopause?
SHE IS NOT PREGANAT – SHE IS NOT SEXUALLY ACTIVE

I was put on Estradiol to ease cramps?

associated with my Mirena IUD.. But while I was researching about estradiol, I discovered it was mostly for menopause. Im 27. Has anyone else taken this drug for cramping?

I’ve recently had feelings that resemble bugs crawling from my foot up to my calves. The feeling comes and goes, but is extremely irritating. I was wondering if anybody had experience with ‘formication’ and if there was any forms of treatment. I also read that ‘formication’ mostly occurs among women after they hit menopause. I am only 20 years old. Please help!!

Can such a thing happen? We’ve been married for18 years, & I’ve always loved sex. He has 3 kids from a previous marriage, & seems very masculine and macho….but he admits to looking at gay porn and chatting online with gay men! What the heck is happening to him? He’s always been very outspoken about not condoning gay/lesbian relationships, yet he seems to prefer looking at men’s ‘equipment’ over looking at mine! So, I’m hurt, confused and jealous when he tells me it’s nothing to worry about. Should I be worried? Is this part of ‘male menopause, or a sign of depression, or is he so totally bored with our sex life that he only gets turned on by pretending he’s gay? We’re in our middle 50′s and I’ve used up all the sex tricks I know. I’m so damned confused that I just feel like crying! I want my husband back, but I’m no match for straight internet porn, let alone gay porn!

How can you tell if your husband still loves you. I feel like this is a marriage of convenience. Buddy with benefits. Not a good feeling. I feel disconnected from him. Could it be male menopause? Is there hope for my marriage? What are legite signs of menopause?

We have an old female beagle that "found" us. She is in a backyard fence but our male maltese seems awful interested in her every mo. or 2. Do they go thru menopause or have irregular cycles as they age? We’re trying to be responsible but don’t know what is going on. I’d appreciate any ideas on this. Thanks!

I am watching Babies Special Delivery and this one woman used projesteron cream and false unicorn root and became pregant with quads. She had gone into early menopause. I don’t have that problem but would it help to use these natural medicine

We are both 43 – She had cancer and finished treatment, but it sent her into menopause. She can’t get hormone replacement therapy, and basically told me "sorry, too bad, we are at a different phase of our life and get used to it." We have two young children and divorce is really not an option.
We already have gone 9 months with almost no sex – its been three months since she finished treatments
And how is this a choice between sex and my wife’s life?????

Can Mirena cause Early Menopause?

I’ve had a Mirena IUD for over three years. I know it is common for your periods to stop after a few months.
I still had periods with Mirena for over a year, but then they got a little irregular and light and finaly stopped. I’ve also noticed other menopause-like symptoms, such as hot flashes, low libido, etc.

I’ve googled the Mirena/Menopause connection, but haven’t found any credible information.

Lets assume there is a deity… would it not make more sense that the deity be a goddess and a god, and that the goddess have more important role?

1. The deity created, or gave birth to, the universe. Also, the world was populated with life. This points to a goddess, since in the animal and human worlds it is always the female that does the populating. This would indicate there would need to be a male deity as well, at least in the role of celestial sperm donor.

2. The Earth is ruled in cycles which coorespond to the female "systems." The yearly seasons are a cycle of the beginnings of fertility in spring, the pregnant abundance of summer, followed by the harvest or "birth" of crops in autumn, and the menopause of winter.

The cycles of the moon have been noticed through time to also coorespond to the menstrual cycle of women.

3. The closest humans can get to being gods is to create life, and life is always created and carried in the wombs of women, not men. All human life came primarily from women, with men playing a supportive role to varying degrees.

4. All babies in the womb begin as female, and males develop from females according to hormones dictated by x and y chromosomes. Thus, all men are actually part female.

5. Since humanity views deity as nurturing and raising humanity, doesn’t a female deity make more sense as a nurturer and raiser of her children.

6. Would a lone, male deity make a world that depended largely on the female to reporduce? Would a male deity who was solely responsible for creation devise a system in which the male contribution to the creation of life was so minimal.
"No. Women are more prone to making emotional judgments over logical ones."

Yeah, you’d never catch a male deity destroying the entire world by flood because his kids were ticking him off.

Uterine prolapse at 31 yrs old?

Sorry if this is too much info! I’m 31, and have delivered 2 children. I think I have a bit of uterine prolapse, its not causing me any discomfort. I plan to make an appointment with my gyno right away. Is this common in women my age to get this? I thought this was something more common in women during menopause. Also, what is the treatment? Can I still have more children with this condition?
