i have these bad cramps when my menstrual cycle begins.
what are some foods or to eat or avoid or help menstrual cramps ?

hormones??

what four hormones are important in controlling menstrual cycle and preganny and breast feeding and what are the functions of each??

My boyfriend and I had unplanned unprotected sex a week ago. I used the emergency contraceptive, Norlevo within 12 hours. The pamphlet said that you shouldn’t have unprotected sex again until your next menstrual cycle. Well, I did :( I am planning on using Norlevo again today. What else can I do. I am 18 and I can’t afford to get pregnant. PLEASE HELP. P.s please don’t preach to me, I am asking for help HERE because I can’t ask anywhere else. Thanks.

Lets assume there is a deity… would it not make more sense that the deity be a goddess and a god, and that the goddess have more important role?

1. The deity created, or gave birth to, the universe. Also, the world was populated with life. This points to a goddess, since in the animal and human worlds it is always the female that does the populating. This would indicate there would need to be a male deity as well, at least in the role of celestial sperm donor.

2. The Earth is ruled in cycles which coorespond to the female "systems." The yearly seasons are a cycle of the beginnings of fertility in spring, the pregnant abundance of summer, followed by the harvest or "birth" of crops in autumn, and the menopause of winter.

The cycles of the moon have been noticed through time to also coorespond to the menstrual cycle of women.

3. The closest humans can get to being gods is to create life, and life is always created and carried in the wombs of women, not men. All human life came primarily from women, with men playing a supportive role to varying degrees.

4. All babies in the womb begin as female, and males develop from females according to hormones dictated by x and y chromosomes. Thus, all men are actually part female.

5. Since humanity views deity as nurturing and raising humanity, doesn’t a female deity make more sense as a nurturer and raiser of her children.

6. Would a lone, male deity make a world that depended largely on the female to reporduce? Would a male deity who was solely responsible for creation devise a system in which the male contribution to the creation of life was so minimal.
"No. Women are more prone to making emotional judgments over logical ones."

Yeah, you’d never catch a male deity destroying the entire world by flood because his kids were ticking him off.
Wideboy, I can post links, too:

What should I take for menstrual bloating?

What is the best thing to take/do for bloating during your menstrual cycle. Does Midol work, is there something better? Please give me your personal experience and what has worked best for you. Also, I’m usually bloated the week before my period starts and then during the first half of my period but the last few days and the following week I’m skinnier than usal (if that makes sense) is that normal?

I’ve been working out alot more than usual…I may have even been over-exerting myself maybe. My period never really came on time; instead, i’ve had a very small amount of blood on around day 38 of the menstrual cycle (you should have your period ever 28-35 days). Also, I’ve never had sex, but my boyfriend and I fool around alot, but the possibility of me getting pregnant from that is slim. How can I tell whether this ‘vaginal spotting’ is just from sports or pregnancy or whether it’s just a very light period? Should I be concerned that i might be pregnant?

For the time period that the menstrual cycle is no longer being undergone, is that individual incapable of becoming pregnant?
As I am recieving a variation of responses, I’d be more oblidged to select yours as best answer if you can provide me with sources.

Okay, here it goes.

"The menstrual cycle is suppressed during pregnancy. Explain why this is important to the success of a full-term pregnancy."

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I have rheumatoid arthritis and celiac disease. I’ve noticed the joint pain is so much worse right before my menstrual cycle. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it’s from the changing hormone levels. I have little to no pain during the rest of the month.
My doctor says there should be no relation, but it occurs every month like clockwork. He’s referring me to a rheumatologist, but I still think there is a link here.

I just found out I am pregnant and I am trying to figure out the first day of my last menstrual cycle. My cycle almost always starts on a Thursday, except this last time, on Tuesday, I had very light spotting one time, and it went away, and then on Thursday it was like normal. Would I consider Tuesday or Thursday as the first day of my last cycle?

I have PCOS and am taking metformin and spironolactone (I do not want to take birth control pills again).
My menstrual cycle is usually from 38 to 40 days. I am 21, not overweight (5′ 3" and 105 lbs), and am generally healthy.
What sort of health risks are associated with this kind of cycle?

Exactly what happens during the menstrual cycle?

Using the terms LH, FSH, ESTROGEN and PROGESTERONE, how does the menstrual cycle do? How does it happen leading up to the egg being fertilized. Just a brief summary could help. Using those terms! thanks!

Relationship of positive and negative effects between fertility and the menstrual cycle.

Especially in jain’s and gujrati riligon, why people not allow women to cook and touch anyone in her menstrual cycle period ? is there any logical or scientifical reason behind this ?
It is really strange that women had to follow this for 3 days? please give me some science based answer.

I found out I had a blighted ovum in April at my first ultrasound. I let it pass naturally and within two weeks it passed. It has been two months already and I still haven’t started my menstrual cycle. I set a doctors apt already but im just curious to know how long did it take for some of you ladies to start your period again?
