Could I have hormonal imbalance?

I’m 17, this has been going on for 3-4 months now.
My symptoms:
-Depression/Irritability.
-Fatigued.
-Mood swings.
-Sudden tears.
-Really emotional.
-Irregular periods.
-Dry skin.
-Nervousness/Extreme anxiety.
-Difficulty concentrating.
-Forgetfulness.
-Easily get UTI’S/Yeast infections.
-Feel I’m not myself anymore.

Every and any little thing that isn’t something that makes me happy, makes me have to hold back a pool of tears. It’s overwhelming and it’s making me feel like I’m going crazy or something. When it’s happening I know I shouldn’t be upset but it won’t stop. I’m always tired too. I just feel like I’ve lost myself. Could this be hormonal imbalance?
I’m also crabby a lot of the time too now, which I used to never ever be crabby. I feel like I’m always going through PMS even when my period isn’t close at all.
I’m also 96 pounds, with a very high metabolism. And only a 32A, if that has any significance. I first got my period about a year and a half ago.

Is there an herb or prescription for women to help with their sex drive. I’m not experiencing to much of the hot flashes, but do have mood swings. Any suggestions besides o/c Estrovan I think it is.

Am I low in Estrogen or Progesterone?

Okay, I know that Yahoo! Answers is NOT a medical facility and that your answers are opinions only. That being said, I have done a LOT of online research to figure out if I am Estrogen Low, Or Progesterone Low. I am 47 years old. I have "anovulaory bleeding" or "Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding" due to peri-menopause. I bleed HEAVILY, and I am iron deficient due to this. I learned this when I went to the ER for the bleeding. I have no insurance, so going to the doctors to have them try to find out my hormonal status is out of the question because I know that it is not a one test diagnosis. It would be several test to see where I stand hormonally throughout the month. That would cost money thyat I do not have. I would like to purchase something online and start from there. I have all the symptoms of perimenopause. Headaches, Depression, Lethargy, Mood Swings, Lose Train of Thought, just an unhappy feeling, where nothing brings me joy, and I don’t feel well anymore. Once a week I seem to feel great, but then I feel the decline coming swiftly.

Can anyone shed light on this for me. Opinions are are all I ask for.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I NEED to become "Me" again–Soon! Please Help!

any ladies done progesterone treatment?

doctor just put me on progesterone treatment for my Really bad mood swings. I am heading into menopause. Has anybody else gone this route and how well did you do? what can I expect? not having any of the other problems like hot flashes or night sweats. I’m either calling out the flying monkeys or crying at the drop of a hat.I’m not myself by a long shot.other than that I’m a very healthy woman.

I took a saliva test that showed Estradiol less than 1 -low and Progesterone 52.4 – low. The interpretation was that the results reflected "estrogen deficiency and dominance symptoms. Estradiol and progesterone may be warranted". Consistant with anovulatory cycle.

I am new to all this. My biggest issue is that my blood sugar keeps dropping dangerously low during my period and when I "should" be ovulating. My periods are a little off, not too bad though. The hot flashes and mood swings are rough.

Should I take a Natural Progesterone Cream. What about Estradiol…is that in cream form too? Have you had experience with any of these creams? Sorry if the questions are silly, I’m new to all of this and really want to get better. I want off this medical roller coaster.
I agree with much of what you just posted. I eat organic (whenever humanly always), I take Synthroid only (because I was too young to realize that radioactive iodine wasn’t my best option). I try to avoid chemicals, additives and dyes. I can certainly improve on some areas, but does appear that something is causing the imbalance. The symptoms can all be lived with, except the blood sugar drops during my cycle. They are beyond scary. I don’t want to use a synthetic hormone treatment., but I am considering a Natural Progesterone Cream. Do you know of a better option in addtion to making some lifestyle improvements?

Wife "just want to live by myself"?

After over 13 years of marriage, my wife has left and says she wants to be by herself. She has left several times before in our marriage for similar reasons and I have gotten her back. For the past 10 years, she (now 42) has been going through menopause with all that goes with that. The past year has been okay as we have enjoyed each others company and done fun things, even though it has been sex-less and filled with mood swings, etc. I am a christian and love my wife and am having a hard time dealing with the situation. I hate to see her destroy herself, much less our marriage. She seems to exhibit all the signs of clinical depression except for being suicidal (as far as I know). She has tried hormone replacement therapy and uses "happy drugs" to try and help with mood swings, but no help. I guess my question is, how can I get some REAL help for her and possibly save our marriage or should I just take care of myself and hope for the best for her?
To address some issues presented here: I have suggested counciling – she declines, we have been to church together – I still go, she stopped, I have suggested exercise and diet – she agrees, but never acts on it, I do most of the housework and cooking to pamper her – no help, I have taken her on many "fun weekends" away and vacations – no change, I have suggested doctor consults for change in HRT and "happy drugs" – she does not follow thru, she has issues with jobs (changed five times in 10 years), she has issues with her family (arguments with her daughter {not speaking from time to time} as well as her sister and mother and my two grown children. I think the point here, for me is, you can lead a horse to water. Maybe I have tolerated it too long and not been more insistant that she find help. Is there REALLY anything that I can do to help her, I think marriage is holy union of God and am concerned about that, but I am more concerned about her future health-mental and physical.

I am hoping somebody can offer me some kind of advice in relation to menopause & weight gain. I am 45yo and have gone through, what my doctors say, early onset menopause. I have not changed any factors in relation to my diet that have caused me to gain the excessive weight that I have. In fact, I have always been an extremely small eater for most of my life and continue to be the same. Although, I do not do any form of exercise I am constantly on the go I do not sit down until about 10pm. Does anyone know of a good treatment that can assist me with weight loss. This is getting me more depressed and anxious than the actual menopause. The mood swings alone that come with menopause are bad enough but now I have a self confidence problem due to the weight gain. I do not mind if the treatment is a prescribed treatment by a medical practitioner, as I will see my doctor and request it. Please, if anybody can help me, before I go stark raving mad, it would be very much appreciated.

What should i do about a menopause mother?

My mom has claimed to be going through ”menopause”. I know what this is. she has been so moody lately and one moment she acts so mean to me and just acts like she hates me and is all annoyed when i didn’t do anything. I just feel like she hates me. i don’t know if mood swings are just sign of menopause or what. but im confused about how to handle this.

Can anyone recommend natural menopause remedies?

I`m 57yo and these hot flashes and mood swings drive me crazy.

Need some advice About pari-menopause please?

I’m 39 and have been suffering with this for about 6 months now. I can’t take any kind of hormones, so I’d like to know if there is anything else that can help relieve symptoms. Hot flashes, weight gain, insane mood swings, fatigue. Any suggestions please? I feel like I’m losing my mind and I think my kids and husband have had just about all they can handle from me! Oh, and frequent migraines also. Thanks!

How do you know if you have a hormonal imbalance?

Okay here’s my problem. Ever since I started college which was very stressful for me I have these rediclous mood swings. I can go from very happy to extremely depressed to very mad to anxious. Right now I’m at anxious which is the worst. I’m not sure if these are just me causing it because it does get worse with stress or if it truely is a hormonal imbalance. Its frustrating because often it feels just like a wave of unexplained feelings. What would be other signs? I am going to a doctor once I get my insurance situtation figured out. Thanks

i have the following,
Sickness, dizziness, tiredness, mood swings, hot flushes, no appetite due to sickness and also alot of wind!

NO, NOT PROGESTERONE!! normal estrodol and spirnolactone!

so if a guy took estrodol and spirnolactine and started transitioning into a woman, will they get monthly mood swings like a normal female?
