I am 23 years old and I have been diagnosed by a rheumatologist with fibromyalgia. The drugs he prescribed are helping, but I still have pain in all of my muscles. My other symptoms include muscle weakness, difficulty sleeping, fatigue, dizziness, and IBS with constipation. The constipation is even worse with the meds.

I’m referring to the Floyd Landis story, of course. I know increasing red blood cells increases oxygen flow to the muscles, but what effect does testosterone have? Does it increase endurance? Or stamina? Or strength? Or something else?

Will a increase in testosterone help me to devolop more muscles when lifting weights? I always tried lifting weights, but each time I lift, I end up only lifting the same amount of weight after 1 month of lifting. So I easily just give up, because I didn’t even see a slight difference.

When I do work out I run 5 miles day 3 times a week. I always get faster at running, but I always fall short when it comes to lifting. So yeah I guess I’m weak hence that fact I asking about increasing my testosterone, but I do have a lot of endurance.

What happens if you hold your bladder too long?

What happens if you hold your bladder too long? If you get in the habit of holding your bladder a lot, which of these is most true:
1. It gets easier to hold your bladder because you are making muscles stronger.
2. It gets harder to hold your bladder because you are stretching things out of shape.

Is this hormonal imbalance?

I am now 36 and for the past few years have felt different. Then this past year it seems to have gotten worse. I have lost interest in so many things I used to love, like, reading, mowing the grass, going to the gym, church, and so on. Low sex-drive as well. I continue to buy interesting books, but I bring them home and put them in a pile and say I’ll do it another day. I feel like I’m tired and exhausted, my muscles ache. I feel like I have lost a disconnection from my feelings. I can laugh, but it’s more a response than a feeling. I know I love my family, but I don’t feel it. I’ve been dating this guy for a few months now and I know I like him, but I don’t feel love or happiness. I know I want to be with him though. I feel like there’s is something disconnected inside me that someone needs to plug back in so I can enjoy life again and be more of myself. I did have my DHEA, Cortisol, and Testosterone tested. DHEA & Test came back very low, but will be retesting again soon. All my bloodwork came back normal. I’m really hoping it’s just my hormones out of wack and with some meds can get back on track.
I really would like to hear from others especially if you have the disconnection from your feelings and emotions. I do not feel like this is mental, depression even though some symptoms sound like it.
Also, if it is a hormonal imbalance will meds instantly make you feel better or is this something that takes time?

In 2002 suddenly started to suffer with very achey muscles and was told that I probably had fibromyalgia. Over the years the pain has waxed and waned but has got very much worse in the last year. I now have very stiff and painful joints as well as painful muscle aches. A weird purple/red itchy rash has appeared on both my arms and for the past few weeks I have been feeling "flu like" and have been getting what I presume are hot flushes. The doctor has said the rash is neither eczema nor psoriasis and is baffled and has given me a steroid cream to put on it – so far no improvement. I do eat alot of bread and pasta and just wondered if all my symptoms could be wheat allergy? Maybe none of it’s connected. I am 57 and had a hysterectomy when I was 33. Could it be menopause? Any advice would be very appreciated. Many thanks.

Is this a hernia? It’s like when you stand up real fast and then have a "pulling" sensation below your belly area, like where your ovaries are that quickly turns into like a pinching ache and you can’t stand up all the way straight. It feels like your muscles are being stretched too fast like a rubber band.
You have to sit back down and then stand up slowly for it to relax and feel normal again. Does anyone know what this is?

All of the muscles were cut when I had the hysterectomy. Now I can’t seem to loose weight on my bottom half of my belly, no matter what I do. How can I make them muscles stronger to where I can loose weight?

Tell me how serious this is?

about 2 months ago I went to the doctor for pain in the abdomen. They took blood work and my white blood cell count was up so they took a ct scan. Ct scan came up fine and they told me that my high white blood cell count was due to muscles being torn in my stomach. I have had chronic diarrhea for months no matter what I eat or drink. I then managed to get jock itch and folliculitis at the same time and both are still healing and today I have a rock hard mobile painless lump on my right crease where my upper leg meets the groin. Could I have cancer or a blood illness? I have had chronic fevers and nightsweats bad lately as well.

Gynecology Question??

A patient of 55 years old has addressed to the gynaecologist with complaints of constant nagging pain in the lower abdomen, difficulty of urination. In the anamnesis one labor with a large fetus which has become complicated by perineal rupture of II degree. The somatic anamnesis is not burdened. Postmenopause lasts for 4 years. The gynaecologic status: there are disjointed pedicles of the muscles lifting the anus; at staining effort outside the vulvar ring the uterus is defined, enlongated and hypertrophic cervix. The anterior and posterior walls of the vagina are lowered. The diagnosis:
A.Inversion of the uterus.
B.An incomplete prolapse of the uterus, failure of the muscles of the pelvic floor, enlongated cervix.
С. A complete prolapse of the uterus, failure of muscles of the pelvic floor, enlongated cervix, cysto- and rectocele.
D.Ptosis of the vagina’s walls, failure of muscles of the pelvic floor.
E.Elogation of the cervix, cysto- and rectocele.

Can these symptoms be menopause?
