I am 23 yrs old and I have always been irregular since I started having my period at 13. Last month, I was nearly a month late and the doctor prescribed me Primolut N, and my period came after a week. During the course, I noticed that I was so energized and felt so good. I am usually very difficult to get up in the morning, sleep for 9-10hrs, and still not feeling refreshed after a long sleep. On the other hand, it is like a chronic fatigue. I read online and I came to the conclusion that I am suffering from hormone imbalance, which must be Progesterone, that causes irregular period and fatigue. In the past, I had taken a test for hormones and I was told that one of my hormones is lower than what it should be. At that time, I didn’t pay attention and forgot which one it was.
This is my CF test result,
Estradiol = 61pg/ml
Progesterone = 0.3 ng/ml
fsh = 6.8 mIU/ml
LH = 14.7 mIU/ml
prolactin = 16.7 ng/ml

although it is said that, it can be varied every day, before pre-ovulation and mid-cycle, I believe it is progesterone which is causing me all these problems. I looked for the supplement on the internet for Progesterone. I found nowfood natural Progesterone cream has lots of rave reviews. I wonder if it is suitable for a 23 years old young woman. I will go for detail check up and see the doctor when I have enough money, but I have to cure this right now with some over the counter medication. Thanks for the reply.

I started using Progesterone cream because for the
past couple months I have gone through a lot of
stress which caused my cycle to be delayed by a whole
two months. This has never happened to me in my life
but I guess our bodies change. Im 25. And I dont have
any kids. I was devastated to find out that I wasnt
pregnant after missing my period …i have had normal
30-33 day cycles all my life.
My last period was December 28th. earlier this month
when I noticed I missed my period I realized that
stress has taken a toll on my body. I DID my research
on 100% natural progesterone cream to use to
regulate my cycle again. I began using the cream on
February 11th, and I stopped using it on February
24th (14days of using it) in addition I began working
out every morning for 45 minutes. I was so happy to
see that my cycle came back! The third day of not
using the progesterone cream my period came on
(february 27th)…also I have been eating healthier.
I dont need this to happen again since I want to have
a baby. Iam learning that the exercise and a positive
attitude in addition to eating right has really helped.
Now I am trying to figure out if I should keep using
the progesterone cream after ovulation for a couple
more cycles before I stop using it, or is it
unneccessary to keep using it since I got my cycle
back. I kind of wanted to keep using it because
sometimes my luteal phase is only 11 or 12 days and
that is kind of short. Once the effective date comes for
this new policy I purchased for health insurance I will
be seeing a fertility specialist to speed up things.I
dont have any reproductive disorders and Ive had an
HSG and blood tests almost a year ago done by my
obgyn and everything was normal. Any advice on this
would really help.

I am using a natural progesterone cream by Dr. John Lee and I want to stop using it, but I am 6 weeks pregnant. How can I discontinue using it? Will it really cause a miscarriage?

progesterone cream and ttc?

I am a little disturbed because I have normal 30-32 day cycles and my last period was december 28th. I was bleeding all the way up til two days ago. That is because I bought some all natural progesterone cream from the vitamin shoppe. it seems like that this is very affective. I have clock work periodsand this had never happened to me. on Jan 9th the ER discovered a very small ovarian cyst but I havent been having any pain or complications. I just dont know what to think at this point all I know is that the bleeding stopped when I began using the progesterone cream. will this help me get pregnant?

I took a saliva test that showed Estradiol less than 1 -low and Progesterone 52.4 – low. The interpretation was that the results reflected "estrogen deficiency and dominance symptoms. Estradiol and progesterone may be warranted". Consistant with anovulatory cycle.

I am new to all this. My biggest issue is that my blood sugar keeps dropping dangerously low during my period and when I "should" be ovulating. My periods are a little off, not too bad though. The hot flashes and mood swings are rough.

Should I take a Natural Progesterone Cream. What about Estradiol…is that in cream form too? Have you had experience with any of these creams? Sorry if the questions are silly, I’m new to all of this and really want to get better. I want off this medical roller coaster.
I agree with much of what you just posted. I eat organic (whenever humanly always), I take Synthroid only (because I was too young to realize that radioactive iodine wasn’t my best option). I try to avoid chemicals, additives and dyes. I can certainly improve on some areas, but does appear that something is causing the imbalance. The symptoms can all be lived with, except the blood sugar drops during my cycle. They are beyond scary. I don’t want to use a synthetic hormone treatment., but I am considering a Natural Progesterone Cream. Do you know of a better option in addtion to making some lifestyle improvements?

I am 18 years old and ive had this since i was 12. im tired of living with it. and i read natural Progesterone cream helps but idk if thats for older people or menopause or something else. if i buy it would it change me?

I have started using natural progesterone cream 2x day and got my period in only 3 days of use, the same thing happpens when taking progesterone pills, is that normal? I should stop after period starts right?

Ladies who used Progesterone cream?

I had a m/c back in July last year at 5weeks and 5days along. After that my LP was on the short side so I began using natural Progesterone cream.

In Jan this year I became pregnant and am now 21 weeks along. I am so scared to stop using it (currently a tiny fingertip amount twice a day. Can I stop?

All scans have been perfect etc?

what is natural progesterone cream?

i was watching tv and this girl was talking about natural progesterone cream…what the heck is that?

Okay my first m/c happenened in July and because I had low progesterone. I went and bought natural progesterone cream today and i want to see if it will enhance my progesterone production. My hubby and I do want to try to have a baby again. I just ovulated yesterday, so when I rub it in what happens? Do I use unitil my period starts or what? When should I stop taking it?? THanks guys.

I have a 9 day luteal phase and would like to get pregnant so I started using a natural progesterone cream the 2nd week of my cycle. It made my temps increase so now I am wondering if I am going to ovulate at all this month since I don’t believe that I have yet. I am wondering if I should have started after I ovulated and now am unsure of what to do – should I stop using it or keep it up until the end of this cycle? Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do or any other solutions to lengthen my short luteal phase to conceive? I appreciate any help out there.
thanks!

I am on my first round of clomid, I have ovulated on day 17, which is great for me! My temps are going up and down since, I can not reach my OB (because of the long weekend) for three days. I am on 7 dpo. I started natural progesterone cream yesterday, because I wanted to keep my temps up. Looks like it’s working, this morning it was high, but I am still not sure, if it’s a good idea. I have been TTC for a year now, miscarried once. I also have insulin resistance. Any advice would be appreciated.

I know natural progesterone cream is beneficial to opposing estrogen in mammals during pregnancy. I also know it’s good in preventing all kinds of cancer. If my dog had a couple heats before being fixed, would it be helpful to try supplementing with some natural progesterone for a couple months, to counter act the estrogen she was exposed to? I thought we were going to breed her and I’d never owned a dog before. I feel bad that her risks for cancer is now increased. The vet told me this today, and the dog was spayed two years ago (she’s now 3.5 years old).

I used to never get my period. If I did, it was like one here and there with anywhere from 4 to 9 months in between. I tried natural progesterone cream and I get it now, but its too often! It feels like I get it every other week! Any ideas? Also I want to get pregnant, but I dont even know if I ovulate.
I am using the Aim Renewed balance cream 1/4th teaspoon twice a day. When I started it I didnt know what day I was on, so I used it until I got my period. Counted to day 12 from the first day and started it again. Used it until my period started again, which was only 11 days, the next time it was only 9 days. It seems like I would only need to use it once a month, but its more like twice a month. I just cant seem to get the pattern down. So I read that using it from day 5-26 for a couple months and then stopping can trigger ovulation, so I am trying that. We haven’t been really TRYING to conceive right now, but we also havent been preventing, and it just hasn’t happened.
Also, I was 16 when I got my first period. I am not taking any medications, and my doctors can not confirm if I have PCOS or not. Some say yes, some say no. I do have cysts on my ovaries, but not any large ones. Just small ones on both. I have been on Birth control pills on and off since I was 17 to try to regulate things. I got off of them about 2 years ago. I went 9 months with out a period and started using the cream. It gave me my period but my doctor still thinks that I do not ovulate. Everytime I have my blood work done, my LH is skyrocketing and my FSH is low. I also think I have low progesterone. It was at a 1.06. But again, I dont know what stage I was in, since at that time I did not get a period at all. So I guess I just need to know what to do to get a period at the right time every month using the cream. I have read a lot of things about it and I dont know what to believe.
If I didnt explain that right, I would use the cream until I get my period, and not use it while I am bleeding. I was counting day one as the first day I bleed and starting the cream again on day 12. But since I was getting 2 periods I didnt know if this was correct. But now that I read that I should try to shut my ovaries off, this month I started the cream on day 5, I am on day 17 right now, so if i follow the same pattern, I am expecting to bleed again today or tomorrow.

ok, so i had a miscarriage back in august at 6 weeks.
when i went to the er they only did hcg test, so there really isn’t any way for me to know why i miscarried.

i have read so much about the maybe causes of a miscarriage. the two main things i have read are Fetal Defects and Progesterone levels.
i am now back in my first two week wait since my miscarriage and DONT WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER!!! so i know if there is a fetal defect there really isn’t anything i can do. BUT if i had a progesterone problem then using a all natural progesterone cream should help until my doc can see if i have a problem, right?

i know the whole "your shouldn’t self medicate" but if it was some as small as my progesterone levels being low, and i can use a cream to help, that even if i don’t need it-it will not effect me or my baby, why not use it?

do you know anyone who as used it and been successful? thanks in advance for your time!!! :)
