Side effects of natural Progesterone cream?

I have looked online but I keep finding websites selling it, and can’t find any definitive or medically supported lists of side effects. If anyone has links that would help.
I take it days 14-26. I have read some mishmoshy info about side effects and it seems I have some – I am really sleepy and I noticed my vision is a little blurred when I try to read far away signs, etc. and it wasn’t before. Also, I seem to be forgetting things. Has anyone else had symptoms like this? I would really appreciate real experiences from people who have used natural progesterone cream, and links if anyone has any. Thanks!
My doctor prescribed the cream to be taken days 14-26 of my cycle because I had ovarian cysts. The cream has really helped with that and has made my pms symptoms less severe, so it definitely has positive aspects which outweigh the side effects.

I currently have the mirena iud birthcontrol inplant. Since having it my hair has been falling out and shedding like crazy I use to have a headfull of thick thick hair and now its paper thin and clumps of hair comes out when I just run my fingers through it its really depressing. Anyway I was reading that a natural progesterone cream will help hair to grow back but the mirena releases synthetic progesterone. So would I be able to use a natural cream along with the synthetic and not cause any more problems? I would ask my doc but she isn’t very helpful or too smart about this stuff and I don’t like her too much

ok, so i had a miscarriage back in august at 6 weeks.
when i went to the er they only did hcg test, so there really isn’t any way for me to know why i miscarried.

i have read so much about the maybe causes of a miscarriage. the two main things i have read are Fetal Defects and Progesterone levels.
i am now back in my first two week wait since my miscarriage and DONT WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER!!! so i know if there is a fetal defect there really isn’t anything i can do. BUT if i had a progesterone problem then using a all natural progesterone cream should help until my doc can see if i have a problem, right?

i know the whole "your shouldn’t self medicate" but if it was some as small as my progesterone levels being low, and i can use a cream to help, that even if i don’t need it-it will not effect me or my baby, why not use it?

do you know anyone who as used it and been successful? thanks in advance for your time!!! :)

Tried progesterone cream?

I am thinking of trying natural progesterone cream this month to lengthen my luteal phase. I have been tested and have low progesterone. Has anyone every tried this and did it work to help you conceive?

Thanks!
I am taking prenatals, 500 mg Vitamin C (starting this month), and am on 50 mg of B6. I was up to 100mg B6 last month but it caused me to have spotting all month so I went back down to 50. So far, B6 has done nothing for me.

My doc wanted to put me on HCG shots post ovulation to increase my progesterone but the pharmacy can’t get them in due to high demand. So now I am thinking about trying the OTC progesterone cream. I have some Kokoro Women’s Balance Cream but I have a few days yet before ovulation.

Thoughts on progesterone cream!?

Ladies, have you ever been told to use a ‘natural’ progesterone cream? My cycles are wacky 41, 44, 52 (and counting) days in my cycles. I think this is my first cycle that I’ve actually ovulated in (been tracking my fertility) I’ve been ttc 6 months and my chiropractor suggested Femarone 17 (progesterone cream), she said it should normalize my cycles closer to the ideal 28 days. I’m nervous to use it and would like your thoughts on it.

I’m going to call my doc before I actually begin just to make sure it’s ok, but wanted to see if anyone else uses it.

Any comments would be great! Thanks.

Which natural progesterone cream is best?

Ok so to make a long story kind of short. I had an early miscarriage at 4 weeks in the first week of Nov. My HCG levels at 4w0d were only a 98 and I had period-like bleeding and "menstrual cramps" so the Dr said it looks like a nonviable pregnancy. My progesterone was only a 0.9, which is insanely low. My Dr can’t say if the low progesterone was a RESULT of the miscarriage or a CAUSE! I got pregnant 3 months after coming off the pill (if that info helps idk) But since it was my first miscarriage and I am still young (22)(engaged, a college graduate and financially stable so you can spare me the being too young stuff)lol.. he doesn’t want to look into it unless it happens again. Well obviously I don’t want to wait around for another miscarriage so I am thinking about trying a natural progesterone cream, since it can’t hurt (my progesterone was a 0.9) and I read you don’t even ovulate with that low of a number. So basically my question is which natural progesterone cream would anyone recommend?? It can be from a store or online, any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks!
I dont remember asking for psychological evaluations. If you don’t have a recommendation which would be the ANSWER to my QUESTION, don’t bother posting an answer at all. I am not a hypochondriac. I didn’t know being cautious with your own body was a crime. Going on progesterone cream is not self medicating, my Dr never advised against it, but I don’t have another appointment until January because of how busy they are. Thanks for your judgemental concern though, and I mean that with the upmost sarcasm!

Progesterone cream side effects?

I am 6 days past ovulation and started on natural progesterone cream 4 days ago in an effort to correct a luteal phase defect.

My symptoms started at 3 days past ovulation and include light cramping, pulling sensation on the hips, sore breasts and as of yesterday, fatigue as well.

During my previous pregnancy I started cramping at 4 days past ovulation (without progesterone).

My question is – has anyone experienced cramping and tender breasts on progesterone cream? If not, I could very well be pregnant. Just not sure if all this is caused by the cream or a by a little peanut. ;)

Thanks for your responses.

Progesterone Cream during luteal phase?

My hubby and I are trying to conceive. This is my third cycle off BCP and over the last couple of cycles, I noticed a luteal phase defect (9 days). This cycle, I began using natural progesterone cream right after ovulation on CD19. Today is CD 28 and my basal temp is still up. I took a pregnancy tests this morning with a 20hcg sensitivity and it was negative. Usually, I’ve been starting or spotting on cd28, but nothing yet. I am thinking that the progesterone cream is working, or is it possible that I still could be pregnant and hcg still hasnt produced yet. My questioin is whether or not I should continue to use the progesterone cream just in case? Also, will the cream keep AF from coming…because I don’t want to keep it from coming if I am not preggo?
I am usikng 1/8 tsp per day which is 19 mg. Is that too much?

My question pertained to the side effects of progesterone cream. I was asking if anyone had knowledge pertaining directly to that. I do not believe cramping (regardless of the cause) is an anyone’s head. =P

Ok, I started using natural progesterone cream a month ago to start supplementing my low hormonal levels (had 2 m/c in 2006 from that). Okay, and I also heard that baby aspirin for blood clotting is important too. One girl that works with me is doing both (had same condition) and is 16 weeks pregg. She had 1 m/c at 11 wks and another at 8wks. Anybody knows someone who did the cream and the baby aspirin????? Thanx.

Progesterone Cream and Vitamin B6?

Has anyone had any success getting pregnant using vitamin B6 and natural progesterone cream to treat a short luteal phase?

clomid and natural progesterone cream?

Hi

This is my first cycle of Clomid and tomorrow I’m going in for my progesterone test. After I ovulate I usually use natural progesterone cream, it helps me with pms. This cycle I didn’t take it because I was worried how it would effect my progesterone test. Does anyone take natural progesterone cream and clomid? How does it affect your tests? Thanks!

Progesterone Cream?

Has anyone used any natural progesterone cream for conception and /or PMS? What is the best kind to get without prescription? I know all about Prometrium and all the others you can for the doctor, but what about the ones without prescription…

What’s the best cream? I’ve got some but it’s not 100% natural and I want some. For those who’ve tried it, did u have any success??
