My nurse miss informed me so I am dying to find out but its still too early to take a HPT and they wont test for HCG until Monday. At day 21 of my cycle my progesterone was at 42 ( with the help of Clomid) but from what I understand a normal progesterone level even with Clomid is about 25. So does this level of progesterone mean I am pregnant?

Is 5 dpo too late to start progesterone cream?

I have a short luteal phase and I am on Femara this month. When I was on Clomid in the past, I had a lengthened luteal phase. However, I don’t know if the Femara will lengthen my luteal phase or not. I did ask at the doctor’s office when I got an IUI done but I got the procedure done on a weekend and the only one there was a nurse, and she basically said she didn’t know. I have lost pregnancies in the past because of a lack of progesterone and short luteal phase, so I’d like to take progesterone cream just in case. I am currently 5 dpo. Is it too late to start using the cream? Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m going on my third round of Clomid at 150 mg. I ovulated last month but did not get pregnant. When my doctor called in my prescription this week she called to tell me that they would be putting me on a progesterone cream. I had to go online and look up what it was for because the phone nurse didn’t tell me. I asked a friend of mine, who is also using Clomid and is ovulating, if they had put her on the same thing. i just assumed it was used as a little extra help to make a pregnancy stick. My friend told me that they never put her on it and that the only reason they would put me on the cream was if they believed that the egg was being fertilized but that the uterus wasn’t accepting the egg. I’m going to call the doctor’s office tomorrow to get some more info, but i wanted other people’s input as well. What’s the deal with the progesterone cream? Why would they prescribe it to me? What exactly does it do?

I’m on Yaz strictly for PMDD, began taking it last October. Normally my period comes around Fri/Sat/Sun, when I begin a new pill pack on Sundays.
My period never came when it was due. I’m technically 8 days late. No, there is no chance of pregnancy, since I had the Essure procedure done back in 12/04.
I’ve been having menstrual type cramping for a few days now, sometimes rather severely. However, there hasn’t been any bleeding at all. I do have a hx of fibroids and polyps, and I do know that there is a small fibroid currently. I also have ovarian cysts, and have been feeling pains in my left ovary almost consistently.
I had an ablation done in 12/04, it lightened up my periods. Taking Yaz made the periods even lighter. I’ll be 40 in Jan. Should I just chalk this up to possibly a perimenopause thing? I had symptoms of peri when I was 36, nothing too severe, mainly hot flashes.
Is this a reason to call my gyn, or do I just wait it out, see what happens next month?
Thanks. :) I wasn’t going to repost it, but I figured, what the heck.
I had left a msg for a nurse to call about this last Wed, nobody ever returned my call. I’m considering making a gyn change, have made a couple of calls today to gyn offices in the area. This isn’t the first time this has happened, with phone calls not being returned. I went through it in May, had to call 5 times in 3 weeks before getting a response.
The joys of being a woman… LOL…
Thank you.

My Dr put me on provera to bring on af so I could start Clomid days 3-7. I never started so I have to go in tomorrow for a pregnancy test and some blood work. I took a HPT the day I started the provera and it was negative.Anyone know what would cause the provera not to work other then being pregnant?
It has been over 2 weeks now. I go see the nurse tomorrow morning. Guess I am just hoping that some miracle happened and we are already pregnant.

What could bleeding after menopause mean?

My grandmother is 55 and has some heart conditions. She has been menopausal for 11 years, and for the past two weeks she has been bleeding vaginally. She has an appointment at St. Joseph’s hospital for December [they're that booked]. I’m still worried though. What could this mean?

I think the nurse on the phone said it could be ovarian cancer, but is that true?

Spotting after period finally ended?

There is not any blood on the pad at all. It comes out only when I go to the bathroom. I thought it is possible I have a bladder infection because it does burn. I started drinking water and cranberry juice it seemed to help for a bit. Now I had some light red blood and then light pink. I am going to the gyno on monday but if it is a bladder infection that is something different. I do not have a regular doctor because I have medicaid. I am 33 so it is possible that I may be in perimenopause.
I called ask a nurse just a now and she said that I have a uti. (urinary tract infection.) She said that blood can be a light red or pink. She said to go to the dr within a day or two. I hope that this all it is but I worry too much which makes it worse

A friend of mine said that she was told by a nurse that for some women you can tell they have clitoris erection during medical exam. I’m sure I don’t but I wonder if that is true.
And is that pleasure or just a strange reaction?

Gynecological question…a little graphic…sorry.?

Yesterday I had the coloscopy done and they dr used this mustard colored medicine to stop the bleeding. Her and the nurse both told me to expect a thick discharge over the next few days because of all of the medicine they used. Does anyone know that this medicine is? I should have asked the name of it because I worry about everything and always look things up on the internet, but I didnt and dont want to call the dr yet because I feel like I am being a pain. Anyway, I have not had any discharge and its actually all hardened on the outside and inside. Is this normal? I am just making sure that whats going on should really be going on. It also burns a little when I pee but after the procedure yesterday I am assuming that everything is just irritated.
Help please

Night Sweats?

How much sweating would you have to do at night to be worried about night sweats? I just got diagnosed with a infection from my doctor. I’m not sweating profusely and it’s only my underarms and feet that are sweating. My hands are kinda clammy, thats it though. I do think I am a Hypochondriac. I for some reason keep thinking I have Leukemia but my parents, aunt(a nurse) and doctor all laughed at me. I started taking my antibiotics a day and half ago and nothing seems improved yet. I have one swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck(not both). My spleen felt good until I read about it being a syndrome, now I think my mind is making it have a pain every now and again. I also am worried cause I don’t have a fever. I haven’t lost weight or anything either. I haven’t been sick lately at all. I don’t have any lumps under my arms. I have had chills, nausea, and on and off headache. But those have been scarce since I started my medicine.
Sorry for rambling
Should I be worried?

Does anyone have any information on Perimenopause?

Today I went to the emergency room for heavy bleeding for 10 days and still counting. Only for them to have me wait and then tell me something I already knew, and that is that my urine test came back negative for a pregnancy and that I am anemic, I received no internal exam although I told the nurse that there was discomfort when she pressed on my belly, she however prescribed me birth control pills and told me it should stop the bleeding.Anyway I have been doing some research on the internet about my symptoms and I came across the word PERI MENOPAUSE I have some of the symptoms such as the irregular period, mood swings, fatigue, headaches, but that’s about it and from what I read a woman normally starts in her 30’s to 40’s but I am still in my 20’s. If there is anyone that knows anything about perimenopause please help me, because I am really worried about whats going on with me.
I would go to a GYN but I lost my employment and no longer have any kind of insurance and can’t afford a GYN.
Thank You

I was in for a repeat pap test and the nurse asked me who did my COPO test and I told her I didn’t have that done. She said O.K. and moved on. I was going to ask my doctor about it, but I forgot to. So I was wondering if anyone knew. I’m thinking Copo is an abbrevation or short for something, but I can’t figure out what and I didn’t have much luck finding anything on the net.
