a fertility specialist? Do obgyn’s help regulate your hormones and offer fertility treatments? I want to try this before seeking the treatments from a fertility doctor. Has anyone did this and became pregnant with treatments from your obgyn? Thanks in advance.

I have secondary amenorrhea, most likely due to my mild eating disorder. I am 21, my OBGYN prescribed me provera 10 mg that I am to take every day for 10 days every 4-5 months. So I don’t take it that often so I’m hoping some of the gross side effects like weight gain, acne and depression won’t be prominent or even present.

We’ve been TTC for 2 years now and going to an OBGYN who isn’t being as "aggressive" as I’d like. Should we go to an RE instead? Also, my husband has type 1 diabetes. Would an RE be good for that? Thanks!

I am TTC and the queen of peeing on a test way too early (I am impatient). This just happens to be around the time of my regular annual gynecological exam (today). It is still too early to test and I have finally come to accept that, but when my OBGYN does my exam, will he be able to tell if I am pregnant yet? Also, will any of his tests (the general pelvic and pap) hurt the baby if I am?

Do you still keep your same OBGYN after he delivers your baby? I have a 6 week checkup soon, after that will he still be my doc for other stuff and for what? Is he like a regular doctor that I would see every year?

Every time my boyfriend and I have sex, or even if he just rubs my vagina with his fingers without entering me, it really hurts. And if he cums inside me, it burns. Is there a medicine out there that an OBGYN could possibly prescribe to help the pain subside or that would get rid of it altogether?
I mean it hurts so bad that I try to avoid sex as much as possible, and both my boyfriend and myself hate it.

Can Hypo plastic Left heart syndrome be picked up on a 2D ultrasound that is preformed by a obgyn?

I am 18 years old and sex hurts a lot. I did some research and a lot of people reccomend I get checked for a disorder just in case something’s wrong. I don’t know who my OBGYN is and my doctor is a male pediatrician who I don’t know how to get an appointment with (my mom makes the appointments) and I don’t want to talk to about this anyways. Do they offer these types of exams at free clinics?

I started using Progesterone cream because for the
past couple months I have gone through a lot of
stress which caused my cycle to be delayed by a whole
two months. This has never happened to me in my life
but I guess our bodies change. Im 25. And I dont have
any kids. I was devastated to find out that I wasnt
pregnant after missing my period …i have had normal
30-33 day cycles all my life.
My last period was December 28th. earlier this month
when I noticed I missed my period I realized that
stress has taken a toll on my body. I DID my research
on 100% natural progesterone cream to use to
regulate my cycle again. I began using the cream on
February 11th, and I stopped using it on February
24th (14days of using it) in addition I began working
out every morning for 45 minutes. I was so happy to
see that my cycle came back! The third day of not
using the progesterone cream my period came on
(february 27th)…also I have been eating healthier.
I dont need this to happen again since I want to have
a baby. Iam learning that the exercise and a positive
attitude in addition to eating right has really helped.
Now I am trying to figure out if I should keep using
the progesterone cream after ovulation for a couple
more cycles before I stop using it, or is it
unneccessary to keep using it since I got my cycle
back. I kind of wanted to keep using it because
sometimes my luteal phase is only 11 or 12 days and
that is kind of short. Once the effective date comes for
this new policy I purchased for health insurance I will
be seeing a fertility specialist to speed up things.I
dont have any reproductive disorders and Ive had an
HSG and blood tests almost a year ago done by my
obgyn and everything was normal. Any advice on this
would really help.

I am a 25 year old mother of 2 I have been trying to get pregnant for the last year in a half with no luck I do not have regular periods and this makes it extremely difficult to track ovulation. I am looking for an affordable obgyn in the southwest florida area I am also willing to travel to miami or fort lauderdale.

Hi everyone,
Since July, I have been having unusual vaginal discharge. It’s yellowish in color, and it usually comes morning or early afternoon. Somedays I get a lot of it, other days hardly any. It is not ichy or painful. (I get occasional vaginal iching, but nothing that seems out of the ordinary. I went to see my doctor, and he said he couldn’t find anything wrong. He told me he didn’t think I needed to do anything about it.
Sooooo…has anyone heard of this before. Ladies, have any of you dealt with this?
I should add…I have only ever slept with one person and we’ve been together for three years (we’re engaged now) so I’m at very low risk for STD’s. I was actually tested for STD’s twice this summer (because of the discharge) and nothing came up.
Also…this isn’t a yeast infection. I’ve had those before. In this case, however, I took yeast infection medicine several times and it didn’t help. The doctor’s tests turned up no yeast.
I’m 27 years old. And the doctor I saw was an OBGYN.

He is working with this old lady that is rude and raises her voice at me when I ask for things I find trivial, like changing an appointment. This is my first child and everything is so great, other than the OBGYN visits every now and than. I just despise that assistant. Unfortunately she is the only one he has. I can change doctors but this office is right next to my home and the doctor is a friend of the family. Any good ideas?

I want to go to a different OBGYN and I am 12 weeks pregnant. Do I just contact the new DR and get them to take care of it or do I have to do something throguh medicaid.
