My hubby and I are trying to conceive. This is my third cycle off BCP and over the last couple of cycles, I noticed a luteal phase defect (9 days). This cycle, I began using natural progesterone cream right after ovulation on CD19. Today is CD 28 and my basal temp is still up. I took a pregnancy tests this morning with a 20hcg sensitivity and it was negative. Usually, I’ve been starting or spotting on cd28, but nothing yet. I am thinking that the progesterone cream is working, or is it possible that I still could be pregnant and hcg still hasnt produced yet. My questioin is whether or not I should continue to use the progesterone cream just in case? Also, will the cream keep AF from coming…because I don’t want to keep it from coming if I am not preggo?
I am usikng 1/8 tsp per day which is 19 mg. Is that too much?

I have been to several doctors because I’m having a hard time conceiving and I want to know things I should avoid that contain or block progesterone. I have a list but I feel like it’s not enough.

I’m switching from a progesterone-only pill to a combination pill the day after my current progesterone-only pack is finished. Will the combination pill be effective immediately or will I have to complete a pack first?

Has anyone been successful in getting pregnant while using Clomid and progesterone cream? I have PCOS, have been on Metformin for 6 months and even though I was ovulating on Metformin alone my luteal phase was too short. I just finished my second round of Clomid, and ever though my luteal phase has been longer then before Clomid it’s still on the short side (10-11 days). I have one more cycle of Clomid to go and if I’m not pregnant after it then I need to go back to the doctor. I was thinking of trying progesterone cream this cycle. Any experiences using Clomid and progesterone cream together?

I am TTC and have a short luteal phase, only 9 days. I also have had a previous early miscarriage in which I also had low progesterone levels. I had my progesterone tested yesterday and it was low. I have been using the cream since last night and am going to continue using it through the weekend but I cannot talk to my doctor until Monday. She didn’t have time to talk to me today. I am wondering if the over the counter progesterone cream really works or do I need to be on suppositories or pills? I am 5 dpo today so if I wait until Monday I think it will be too late to have any effect this cycle. Please Help!

after ttc for 10 years today ive been put on clomid and told i have low progesterone levels they were 2.6!
i have 3 cycles of clomid but i wasnt given anything for the progesterone levels can anyone give me any info on this and should i buy progesterone cream? has this helped anyone else
i have lost 1 baby and im scared that if i get prg with this clomid i might lose the baby dues to the progesterone level should the dr have given me something?

I am 12DPO and my breasts are so sore that I can not touch them! This has never happened before! Is this a common sign?
Can clomid and progesterone cause this?

…When people get their blood test done on CD21 to check their progesterone levels, sometimes some come back as 30.5 or something like that, what does it mean when they are that high? does it mean they might of released more than on egg that month?

I am 6 days past ovulation and started on natural progesterone cream 4 days ago in an effort to correct a luteal phase defect.

My symptoms started at 3 days past ovulation and include light cramping, pulling sensation on the hips, sore breasts and as of yesterday, fatigue as well.

During my previous pregnancy I started cramping at 4 days past ovulation (without progesterone).

My question is - has anyone experienced cramping and tender breasts on progesterone cream? If not, I could very well be pregnant. Just not sure if all this is caused by the cream or a by a little peanut.

My question pertained to the side effects of progesterone cream. I was asking if anyone had knowledge pertaining directly to that. I do not believe cramping (regardless of the cause) is an anyone’s head. =P

My wife and I were trying to conceive for over 10 months. She finally started using progesterone cream on month 10 and she is now pregnant. I know it was not all the creams doings. Anyways her doctor told us to keep using this throughout the pregnancy and failure to use it could cause a miscarriage. She ran out of her stuff she was using and I had to run to GNC to pick up some. They did not have the brand she uses which is Source Naturals. Instead I had to purchase GNC’s brand of progesterone cream.
I need to know how many miligrams of progesterone are in 1/4 teaspoon. All the bottle says on the back is that it contains 5mg per ounce which does not make since cause it is only a 2 ounce bottle and I paid double for it and if it only has a total of 10mg of progesterone I am going to be irrate. PLEASE HELP!!! Anyone know how much progesterone is in 1/4 teaspoon of GNC progesterone Cream???

I’ve just started using Progesterone suppositories while ttc. I have tried vaginally and rectally and found both ways to be very messy. Any suggestions on time of day or anything to keep the mess down? I have to use them 2x a day. Thanks!
