What is best natural progesterone supplement?

Found out from a saliva test that my progesterone levels are low. Wondering about a natural supplement but have no clue where to start. Are creams best or oral supplements? Any recommendations as far as brands/types?

Thanks!

My girlfriend gets depo-provera injections. She wants to take prenatal vitamins to stimulate hair growth. Will that make the birth control less effective, or are the progesterone levels still too high for the vitamins to make a difference? Basically what I’m asking is if I should start pulling out once she starts taking them. I don’t want to ask her because I don’t know if that is a stupid question, or seem selfish.

What does my progesterone level mean?

My husband and I have been ttc for 5 months now and I took my first round of Clomid (50 mg days 3-7) this month. On cycle day 20 (Tuesday) I went in and had blood work to test my progesterone levels. I got my results this morning and it was 18.7 and they said that’s good. I was wondering what that means more specifically. I have an appt. with my dr. next Tues. and we will discuss it more in depth then but I was curious now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know that means I ovulated which is great. Are those levels high enough that I could be pregnant?

I'm only 24… what is going on?!?!? Pls help me?

I’m 24 years old and have been with my boyfriend for about two years. We have a five month old baby together and I love him very much but he thinks I am cheating on him. The primary reason for this is because I have absolutely NO sex drive at all.

I know what you’re all going to say, you’re a new young mother, blah blah blah… but I know that’s not the cause and I have other symptoms that I believe are related.

- Constant exhaustion and fatique
- Severe insomnia (seems ironic given the constant exhaustion…)
- Unable to loose the baby weight
- Irritable and short-tempered
- Hot and cold flashes
- Loss of appetite
- Foggy memory
- Difficulty concentrating and paying attention (my mind wanders in mid-conversation with people, to the point that I have NO idea what they just said once they finish)
- Absolutely NO sex drive at all (my poor boyfriend will try and try to make me horny, but nothing ever happens, I usually end up giving in and having sex because I feel bad)

I know that these symptoms are not due to being a new mother, however, because I felt wonderful and my sex drive peaked when my baby was about 1-2 months old, then disappeared.

I googled my symptoms and it said that I have a hormonal imbalance where my estrogen levels are far higher than my progesterone levels… and that this typically happens during perimenopause and menopause… I’m only 24!!!

Oh, by the way, these symptoms were here BEFORE I got pregnant as well, I’ve been living with them for a while but they seem to be getting worse.

Please, does anyone know what is going on? Am I going through premature menopause?? What can I do to feel better and have more energy to play with my baby? How can I get my sex drive back? (my boyfriend has tried pretty much everything that you can think of, romantic dinner, foreplay, etc… nothing works so far)
Now that you mention it I have always had very low blood pressure. I didn’t think it was related because I’ve had it for so long.

Even when i was 9 months pregnant the nurse commented that I had the blood pressure of a 10 year old.

i had a blastocyst transfer on ivf antagonist (orgalutran) cycle. what is a normal or range of estrogen and progesterone levels that should be seen at the time of the transfer and does these levels at the time off transfer affect success or pregnancy rates?

Okay, can someone tell me once and for all when progesterone levels are higher during a normal cycle ??
I was told that two weeks prior to getting your period is when progesterone should be higher. Then when your period starts, estrogen is higher for the next two weeks.
Then I was told the complete opposite……which one is it ?!?!?!

Just a side note: I am not trying to conceive and I am in my late twenties. I am just trying to balance my hormones using natural progesterone therapies.

What is the opposite of progesterone?

What is the opposite of progesterone? If you wanted to lower your progesterone levels, what would you need to increase?

We have been TTC#1 since April with no luck.
I have 3 small Fibroids located outside of my uterine wall and I am also overweight.
(5’5 , 210pd)

I am concerned my Progesterone levels maybe to low to conceive.
When I spoke with my OBGYN he’s only reply was to work on losing weight, maintain a healthy diet, and getting pregnant takes time.
He told me if we didn’t conceive after 1 year of trying he would order blood work with my next annual pap.

My concern is I know getting pregnant can take time but I am 33 going on 34. I don’t really feel I have time to waste.
DP and I have been together for almost 9 years and the only method of BC we ever used was pulling out. In 9 years I have never fallen preggo.
In the past 4 months we have intentionally tried and still no BFP.
The last 2 months we used an OPK, BBT, and CM charting, still BFN.

My cycles are regular every 30 days, and outside of being over weight I don’t have any other health concerns.

My heart is telling me I am not getting preggo because my Progesterone is too low and I won’t get preggo until my hormones are regulated.

After doing some online research I read Chaste-berry or Progesterone cream might help..

And I am starting to get desperate.

I would appreciate any advice… I am hoping to find a more natural approach before seeking the advice of fertility specialist.

Thanks to all… Wishing you tons of extra sticky baby dust!!

Progesterone?

Are their any vitamins I can take to help raise my progesterone levels? I just hae putting unnessecary drugs in my system when I could go for something more natural.
No I ovulate, I need it due to a hormonal inbalance.

ok, so i had a miscarriage back in august at 6 weeks.
when i went to the er they only did hcg test, so there really isn’t any way for me to know why i miscarried.

i have read so much about the maybe causes of a miscarriage. the two main things i have read are Fetal Defects and Progesterone levels.
i am now back in my first two week wait since my miscarriage and DONT WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER!!! so i know if there is a fetal defect there really isn’t anything i can do. BUT if i had a progesterone problem then using a all natural progesterone cream should help until my doc can see if i have a problem, right?

i know the whole "your shouldn’t self medicate" but if it was some as small as my progesterone levels being low, and i can use a cream to help, that even if i don’t need it-it will not effect me or my baby, why not use it?

do you know anyone who as used it and been successful? thanks in advance for your time!!! :)

I have been using a Progesterone Cream…?

I am 25 years old and have been ttc for over 3 years now. My OBGYN prescribed me Clomid, because after some blood work, she discovered that my progesterone levels are extremely low. She said that the Clomid should help with increasing my hormone levels. (This is the first month I have taken the Clomid, so I dont know if it is going to work or not)

I also went to the health store and bought and have been using Progesterone Cream… my question is, has anyone ever used the cream before and does it work?

Thanks in advance… And please only answer if you know about the creams or anything about increasing progesterone levels…

Good Luck to all TTC!

I’ve had two previous miscarriages and the pharmacist told me to let him know when I start ttc again, so we can get the progesterone dosages started. I never had my progesterone levels tested in other pregnancies so I’m not sure it’s the cause .I’m not sure if I’m pregnant but I’m feeling some early pregnancy levels and my period is a few days late. We weren’t ttc but it’s a possibility that we did.
pregnancy symptoms I mean.. sorry

…When people get their blood test done on CD21 to check their progesterone levels, sometimes some come back as 30.5 or something like that, what does it mean when they are that high? does it mean they might of released more than on egg that month?
