I just got on depo provera. The first period I got on it lasted for two weeks. Then my period went away for five days. After those five days it came back and I have now been on it since then for four weeks. Is this normal?

I was prescribed Provera to take for 7 days, starting on June 1, and then start on 50mg clomid on cd 3-5 . My question is, when am I suppose to do a home pregnancy test? I’m a little confused about when to test while taking provera and clomid. I’m not even too sure about how it all works. So if anyone can, help me please!

I really want to get off the hormones, ive been on different types of hormonal birth control for 5 years, including 2 years on Depo Provera. I am worried about the crazy side effects of getting off Depo, is there anything I can take to help?
I have heard of doctors recommending the pill but the point is to get off hormones.

I just got the depo-provera shot on wednesday and wondering how long I have to wait for it to take effect. I got the shot while I wasn’t on my period. Online it says 2 weeks but my doctor said a couple days. How much would a ‘couple days’ mean ?

Recently received the Depo Provera shot on the first day of my period, like advised. It has been the normal amount of days for my cycle and I haven’t stopped bleeding. I have not found any answers online about if it is possible to have a normal period on the Depo Provera shot. I already know that many have either no period, extended, or spotting. Does anyone just have the normal cycle.

I was taking birth control pills up until last Saturday, then I got a depo provera shot to change methods. So I went from one contraceptive right to another with no break inbetween. I was suppose to start my period this week, but I haven’t yet. Would the depo provera shot have stopped my period already after just a few days?

TTC for about a year now. I have very irregular periods and sometimes don’t even have them at all. I’m only ovulating every now and then. My doctor wants me to start taking Provera on around June 27th and then take a cycle of Clomid. But what if I happen to ovulate before the 27th and happen to get pregnant? It’ll still be too early to take a HPT around the 27th. Will the Provera cause a miscarriage?

my doctor told me i should take provera once a day for ten days every month (3 months) to regulate my period.
I’ve heard about the horrible side effects such as fatigue and weight gain. I’ve also heard that it could help in breast development.
What could possibly happen to me?

I have a condition where I get REALLY heavy periods that can last for weeks at a time. I’m trying to decide between going on the Depo Provera shot or to go on Mirena. Does anyone know which is better at stopping heavy periods?

I am in need of a little advice. I have been bleeding while on Depo provera for the past 6 months off and on. I have actually been on Depo for 4 1/2 years and the only problems I ever experienced before were spotting to light period around the time I was due for my next injection. It was awesome for these past 4 years because before it I had horribly heavy long lasting periods that left me very anemic. But for the past 6 months I have been bleeding on and off (mostly on), going from spotting to very heavy with clots. I’ve consulted my OB/GYN office about it and they just say that’s all normal with Depo and see how the next shot goes. It’s really annoying that they think bleeding constantly for 6 months is ok and they’re about to make me go another 3 months of it so that I’ll probably be bleeding for 9 months before they show any concern at all. I’ve looked online for answers. The only similar stories I can find to mine are women that have just started using Depo or premenopause symptoms in women that don’t use Depo. Bleeding isn’t the only problem and I’ve explained this to my OB. I told a friend about my issues and she said I seem to have many of the same symptoms as her (she’s not on Depo and age 43) and was diagnosed with premenopause. I am really starting to wonder if that isn’t my problem also. I’m only 33 but I think it’s possible. My mom was done with menopause all together by age 42 so early menopause runs in my family. Does anyone have any advice for me? My next shot is Friday. Here are the other symptoms I have:
*Night Sweats- I wake up every couple nights completely soaked.
*Hair loss on my head but hair growth on my face
*Memory problems
*Social anxiety- this is odd for me. I’ve never liked crowds but now I start shaking and feeling panicky when out in social settings with my husband.
*Bleeding more after working out
*Loss of sex drive- probably caused by bleeding all the time. This is ruining my marriage.
I truly appreciate anything anyone can give me. The Dr’s office is making me feel crazy for being concerned. They show no empathy at all and their only suggestions are to see how the next shot goes. I’m so frustrated!

My doctor prescribed me 10mg of Provera for 10 days to regulate my periods (I was bleeding literally non-stop for about 3 years). The doctor said that it would stop my period and then it would restart itself. I stopped taking it the end of last month. I was wondering how long after I stop taking the Provera would the bleeding stop?

I don’t remember how many days I should use progesterone cream to induce menstruation. Because of a upcoming vacation I am hoping to use it no more than 5 days like I used to use Provera. Does anyone know what is recommended? I use 1/4 tsp morning and night usually. Please don’t tell me to check with a doctor first, my doctor does approve, I just don’t remember the duration.
Thanks in advance.
