How to deal with my BFs low sex drive?

My bf has a very low drive. He thinks it’s caused by a thyroid condition. Anyways, I feel like I have an above average drive and it is very frustrating (I know how guys feel now!). Is there any way he can boost up his drive? Do you think it will get worse with age? And what should I do about it?

He knows it bothers me and it isn’t like he has ED or anything. He just isn’t in the mood that often.

Gynecology, Endocrinology and Natural Medicine?

she is 15 years old and she still has not gotten her period..ever.

Her estrogen level is 0.8

Her male hormones are type high around 24.0-25.0 (don’t remember)
Her hormone levels are of those of a women during menopause.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME??

Her body has created antibodies for her thyroid because "her body got confused" and thought her thyroid was producing some type of virus… at least that is what the endocrinologist said. I am very concerned for her because the doctor said something about her body thinking the same about her ovaries and this is why her estrogen levels are so low. Basically she said her ovaries are not working correctly. The doctor also said that she will have fertility problems while a woman. In fact, she assured them.

Now..I want other opinions. I want to know what other doctors think. I don’t want my daughter to have these problems. I want to hear what other medical fields think. Personally, i have had an ovarian fibroid and the doctors operate me immediately. but i resisted and started to drink natural medicine and my fibroid disappeared.

I want to know of any type of natural medicine to increase her estrogen levels and begin her menstrual cycle. Would anyone recommend it?

Now i don’t wanna trust this diagnose because i want my daughter to live like a normal women. I don’t wanna give her hormones, or birth control or any of that crap..I’m a big believer in natural medice…but I don’t want it to affect my daughter in the long run.

What that doctor told her has her really depressed and i need
something to help her as soon as possible.

THOUGHTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE.

I have symtoms of hypothyroidism. I had the left lobe of my thyroid removed, because I had a goiter.
I have fatigue, thinning eyebrow, heat and cold intolerance, slow heartbeat, low body temperature, extreme body aches, mental fog and the list goes on. My lab results always are insignificant to my doctor. I am so tired.

I suspect I have Hypothyroidism, because when I take any supplements with Tyrosine in it, my fatigue is gone and I feel better . Does anyone know if they use Tyrosine to make Thyroid Hormone replacement drugs?

My daughter is 22 and is losing her hair. We think it has to do with turners and hormones. Her thyroid is fine, with medication. I would really like to chat with an adult turner syndrome women.

Premenopause…………?

My grandmother went through "the change" at 36 years old, my mother went through it at 32 years old….. I am almost 28. I have two children but do want another, should I take this into consideration? I have had one doctor tell me my biological clock is ticking and have to go for a thyroid ultrasound this month. Could the problems I am having be because of this (thyroid looks "full", body aches & pains, and hot flashes)? I have arthritis so the pains could be from that and I have epilepsy which cause some hot flashes during & after. Sorry this is long but once the change happens there is no going back and saying "ya I think im ready for another child now."

I have no thyroid. If the world were to end tomorrow and I had no access to my Synthroid, how long would it take for me to die? Is there anything I could eat, etc. that could save my life?

I have been on the treatment for anti-immune hyperthyroid for 16 months. The doctor has told me I can stop medication immediately as blood levels are back to normal. Does the thyroid kick back into action immediately? Or should I expect to go through a period of slugglishness beforehand while the thyroid wakes up again?

I researched and it looks like I’m too young for menopause. I am on the birth control pill, as well as Pristiq for anxiety. I’ve always had PCOS, but these night sweats began within the last year – I also began the Pristiq this past year but I cannot recall if the timing coincides – anyone out there having the same issue and on Pristiq or any other ideas of what it could be (my thyroid is fine). Thanks!

I was placed on hormone replacement because of early menopause from surgery removing the uterus along with my tubes. I am really concerned because of the risk of breast cancer. My doctor (gyn) does not seem concerned. Has anyone taken the HRT and discontinued after some lenght of time? I want to discontinue the pills. What are the effects of discontinuing the hormone replacement? Thank you.
I am now 53 years old and was put on the HRT because of the effects of early .menopause. I am concerned with having taken them for a long time. The hysterectomy was about 10 years ago. With an inactive thyroid, my hormones were just about none. Does the benefit outweigh the risk? Is there someone that has experienced the same situation? Thank you for the input.

I am newly menopause. May still be in the peri-meno phase, since I hear that you have to had stopped periods for a year, but I’m close.

BUT….since I got here, my BP has gone up (mostly in the 130′s over high 80′s (and sometimes higher) and my resting heartrate is 100!!

What happened??? Is this common with some women who enter menopause?? Anyone identify?? If you do, what treatment are you using? (Yes, I have an appointment with a doc soon, but still want to hear others experience)
By the way, I am not overweight at all. And I’m active, but am returning to doing aerobic walking. I am also hypothyroid, not hyper, but treat it adequately with desiccated thyroid. I’m not on too much thyroid meds. I think my cortisol is too high, and perhaps that is playing a part in my raise with meno. But appreciate all comments.

Been diagnosed with HYPOthyroidism and was prescribed a thyroid hormone replacement drug. Will i finally start losing this weight after i start using this medicine? I have been over weight for years (along with other problems due to this) and couldn’t seem to loss any so i found out that its actually hypothyroidism. Will this hormone replacement help and begin to loss this unwanted fat?

Hi everyone…I just had some routine blood work done to make sure everything was okay. I recently had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks pregnant. The blood work that I had done tested my thyroid and some other things. My question is…if I had a hormonal imbalance what blood test do this? Thyroid? Or do I have to have a special test done? I just want to make sure I don’t have one since I did have a miscarriage so early. It seems like I have most of the signs for low progesterone. I got a call back from my doctor….she said the results looked good. Should I pursue this further and did they test for the right things? I didn’t ask for a hormonal imbalance test…I just requested routine blood work.
