My doctor just told me that, after my blood test, my testosterone levels are very low. Which explains why I have no energy, can’t lose weight, and have no sex drive. But, I’m only 23 years old! I have a healthy life style and these symptoms just hit me like a ton of bricks! I also have an underactive thyroid. Are these 2 things related? What can cause a 23 year old woman to have low testosterone? Does this mean I’m going through early menopause? I have no symptoms of early menopause. I’m just so confused about this and of course my doctor is out of town. Any information would help.

Hi everyone. I recently went to the gyno and she did a bloodtest. I’m going back next thursday as a follow-up to see the results. I haven’t been getting normal periods since September. I just have a lot of spotting with brownish clumpy tissue that is really light. I had a somewhat normal period before thanksgiving. She said that she thinks I have a hormonal imbalance. She felt my next to see if it was a thyroid thing. But, she didn’t say anything about that so I guess my thyroid doesn’t have a tumor or anything. Does anyone know the most common causes of these kinds of problems?

I am scared it might be something worse! Could it be all from a hormonal imbalance? Multiple Sclerosis? Rheumatoidal arthritis? PLEASE HELP! Symptoms are:

1. Joint pain, expecially in my wrists and shoulders
2. Constant Fatigue
3. Bad Body Aches
4. Back Pain, upper shoulder pain
5. Hair loss, hair thinning
6. Abnormal periods (bleeding for 4 weeks now, but blood work shows no amenia).
7. Trouble concentrating, shaky vision.
8. Pain in the sides of my chest by arm pit area.

I go to see the OB in 2 weeks, so i am just trying to figure out if i need to go see another specialist as well?

I get so weak easily, even blow drying my hair is a chore!!!

My blood work, and my EKG show fine, they did a Cat Scan with no contrast, it was normal. I feel like I have to diagnose myself, All docs dont know what to think! Im only 25, and im female.

I had a complete hysterectomy in Dec 2004.I’ve never taken any thing for hormone replacement at all.In Aug. 2005 I had my thyroid completely removed due to cancer.I have finally got my thyroid meds and bloodtests all figured out but I am still feeling ill/tired/no energy/moody.I at first thought it was all due to my thyroid meds being the wrong dosage but now that we’ve got that under control I’m wondering could it be that I have never taken any HRT.I am only 42 and I’m tired of having a few good days and then back to crap. I feel I basically get enough sleep to work 26 hours of work a week but I feel worthless to my family when I’m at home.I’m very greatful I have a VERY supportive husband and kids.ANYWAY,looking for any info.I am seeing my doctor on April 16 but until then looking for women who may have had the same problems.Thank you in advance.

I have an appt with a gyno next month.. I’m 33 and have had a few operations that females have, it’s always felt wrong inside and there are forever cysts growing and rupturing , but this year, I’ve had 2 cycles since Jan .. One in march, I believe, another in June and here it is almost September and nothing yes my stress is high, seems to always have been, anyone had experience with their monthly gift stopping for months.. In the past, the surg was because things wouldn’t stop, now, I don’t know what’s going in with my body, no chance of being pg. It’s impossible b/c no physical contact all year. I’ve wondered about fibroids, but now wondering about perimenopause. Any woman out there ever experience this?
To add to this. I’ve spent yesterday going from freezing to burning up and have been clammy.. And lately, have the urge to eat a lot many times a day. Not petite like I have been since 18. It’s a monster gorging with food between the flashes

It’s driving me crazy! Any suggestions would be helpful! Doctors in this ‘town’ are pretty useless, and we don’t have the luxury of just going to any Dr you choose. This has been going on for 12 years and I can’t take it anymore. I wake up soaking wet, with a headache, dry mouth and cracked bleeding lips! I thought it was a side effect of my anti depressants but I have stopped taking them over a year ago and this still happens and I don’t (apparently) have a thyroid problem. HELP!

I am someone who does not have thyroid problem. I had that test.

I am experiencing mild night sweats, no fever during the day. Had checked for thyroid. Had HIV/HepB+C checked (x3).I wake up and my back is all wet, live in cold climate so cant take blankets off and heat is on.
also….no unexpalined weight loss
also….I do not wake up feeling hot if anything I feel cold due to sweat

I am 32 yrs old and I had a full hystorectomy at the age of 30 due to medical reasons. I am taking a hormone pill that my Dr. gave me and have tried 8 difforant ones. The one I am taking now works ok. My ?? is what is progesteron for and should I be taking it along with my hormone pill? I feel real angry, depressed, can’t sleep, I feel like every one is out to get me, and I just dont want any sex or even my husband to touch me. I know this is not normal and I have talked to my Dr. about this and even talked to another Dr. He put me on sleeping pills, and anti depressants but its just not the same, in fact they dont help. I have also told the Dr. this and he says give it time. It has been 2 yrs!!! Some one told me I needed to take progesteron but I cant find info on it for people that have had a full hystorectomy. please help me if you know any thing about this!! oh, I have also gained 70 lbs. my thyroid is off and I am taking meds for that to and no weight loss.
I am also taking phenteramine for weight loss and still nothing! Infact I have gained 4 more lbs. and I work out all the time and eat verry little.

I will wake up in the middle of the night and the sheets are all damp and I am covered in sweat.

I really doubt I have diabetes. I am 6’3 180lbs and in good health. I don’t even drink soda and I don’t eat before I go to bed. I think it might be my thyroid.

It tends to happen when I’m tired and have too much going on and not time to rest. It happens anytime during the day. I’m healthy, 31 years old, so I’m hoping it’s not early signs of hot flushes? I am on low dose thyroid pills. Any ideas?
