The ultrasound said about my rigth overi a small amount of non- specific free flid was seen in the Pouch of Douglas. My left overy was normal, but my right one is bigger, and showed up fluid in it. I have PMT every day without a perid like feels like I am going to get a period but do not, lower back pain, indigesion, bloating, etc. Can ovarian cancer appear as a cyst on an ultrasound and CT scans? Becasue I was told a biopsy is the only was to detect this, and a doctor told me yesterday a c125 for cacner is not relaiable. So can anyone tell me if cancer of the overies concidering it is hard to detect except for the last stages appear as cysts.

Ovarian cysts are common in our family, and so is endometriosis, which I have. I’ve been having pain right over my right ovary for about a month and 2 weeks and the pain just keeps getting worse and worse.
I’d rate my pain at an 8 and its keeping me up at night. Should I go to the ER or wait 2 more weeks for my ultrasound appointment?

I have a large benign cyst on my cervix and several small, yet very painful cysts on my ovaries. I am 28 years old and I can not have anymore children. My doctor seemed certain that I will have to have my cervix and both ovaries removed at some point. I know that this will cause me to have hormone issues, but I don’t know what other effects could come from having my ovaries removed. I don’t believe he did a biopsy on the ovarian cysts, but they looked benign on the ultrasound. My question is why is he waiting to take them out? Is it really going to be that rough on me? I am going back to the doctor’s office on Friday and I will find out if the cyst on my cervix is still growing or not, if it is, that may change what he wants to do. I know I sound like I want the surgery, but the fact is, I am just tired of the pain and feeling sick. If anyone that reads this has any advice or knowledge to share with me, I would surely appreciate it. Thank you.

My new gf had one of her ovaries removed 2 mos. ago; before I met her. She has a 5 inch vertical incision an inch below her naval. I do not know much about it and did not get the right answers on wikipedia. She had an ultrasound before the surgery. How does it affect her hormones, her fertility and what are the reasons for this surgery? Her age is 21.

what is a cure for polycystic ovarian syndrome?

Im am 13 and my mom is a paramedic and she thinks i might have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I keep wondering if i will need surgery if i do have it. I am going to an ultrasound soon. If i do have this will i need surgery? Or will the cure just be a pill, like my mom says?

I am 27 and was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago after having my second abdominal surgery to remove cysts off of my ovaries and to remove scar tissue. Now, again, I am having the same symptoms but this time the pain is MUCH worse. Today I had an ultrasound, both external and internal. The pain is now almost unbearable. I don’t have any children of my own yet, but after 11 years of birth control, I don’t want to be on them again. Do I have any other options?

an ultrasound showed i had many follicles in the ovaries. i have also had very oily skin and acne since my teen years that just won’t go away. my doctor doesnt seem concerned, he doesn’t think it’s PCOS since i’m skinny and don’t have high blood pressure or diabetes or anything. so what else could it be?
there was also a little fluid in my pelvic cavity. dr said ruptured cyst?

I have a ovarian cyst on my left ovary.. The reason why they found this is because they gave me and ultrasound because I was having pain on the right in between my belly button and hip. Could the cyst be causing this pain or are they unrelated?

The birth control is to sustain the cysts, but I was wondering how safe it actually is to use the birth control to sustain the cysts and still be able to work effectively. My girlfriend occasionally gets extremely bad pains from her ovarian cysts, and she just recently got some of the worst pains about 4 or 5 days after the most recent time we’ve had sex and she believes that her stomach is a bit swollen along with the pains. Can the cysts cause swelling and are the chances of getting pregnant very high considering the situation? Thanks.
Also, will the cysts ever cause any kind of stomach swelling, or at least swelling in the area of the stomach? Mainly belly button and below.
She actually just went to get an ultrasound today and the ultrasound was full of orange dots all around the ovaries. The doctor said that this was bloodflow. What kind of bloodflow is that? Is that normal, or did the cysts maybe break or something like that?

My mom went to the doctor today and he ordered a ultra sound on her ovaries because of a sagging bladder. She’s had a histerectomy over 30 yrs ago but was left with her tubes and ovaries. She hasn’t experienced any discomfert or signs of a dropped bladder. Were just concerened as to why he would order the ultrasound and what the ovaries have to do with it. Any information or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Why do I have menopause bleeding?

About 2 months ago after peeing when I wiped myself I saw blood, only a small amount, since then I haven’t seen anymore, although I did have a cervical biopsy, and an ultrasound already I am still concerned what the 1 time showing of blood could possibly meant. I have not have a period in more than 5+ years now, still going through menopause (hot flashes etc!) Could the blood someway associate itself with menopause?

I had my hysterectomy in 1991 and have been having this pain for over a 2 months now. I had a ultrasound done but nothing was found then. Should I get another one done. I can not sleep at night with this pain. I need advice from anyone! Thank you very much!

I other words can ovarian cancer be tetected on the CT scan and ultrasound? I heard it is hard to diagnose. Can it come up a cyst? Becasue I have unulual fluid in my right ovarie, and needs further tests. Now I just want to know can cysts show up on the scan that could be cancer? They said a small amount of non specific free fluid was seen in the Pouch of Douglas. So my right overie is bigger than my left one. Please help me here. I have an appointment to go back to the doctors on Thursday next week, and a gyni appointment next month. I have PMT cramps everyday, and indigestion, and bloated so bad, and lower back pain. So are these scans reliable to pick up ovarian cancer? If not can they just show up some abnormality like a cyst?

bloated stomach. I haven’t got any other symptoms but I’ve been to my doctors to get it checked out and they’ve said that just to be safe they’ll refer me to the hospital for an ultrasound. I’ve waited 6 weeks for the appointment. I’m due to go tomorrow. Do you think I’ve got anything to worry about?
