i mean do they need to take out your uterus
or can they just remove the fibroids or tumor so you can have a baby
have any of you had uterine fibroids (badly) and had a baby?

I recently had partial hysterectomy ( I still have my uterus ) and the hot flashes began soon after.Night sweats very often disturb my sleep, anxiety with no apparent reason and depression.I’m not very good at taking medications and looked into natural remedies.Primrose oil, black cohosh, magnesium etc. However, studies show that there’s no proven effectiveness and there are side effects too, like damaging the liver.I need help!!

Ok, so it’s been four months since I delivered my son vaginally. I had a small tear which didn’t need stitches, however my son was stuck in the birth canal for over an hour. After my 6 wk checkup (Doc didn’t actually look inside, just checked uterus), hubby and I tried to have sex. It felt like a knife cutting me! We waited a few more days and tried again but it was not happening. At 9 wks postpartum I went back to my doctor and after examining me he said that I hadn’t healed and that it was due to breastfeeding. He gave me estrogen cream to use for a month, well two weeks after using the cream my milk supply was almost gone!! I immediately stopped the cream. My husband and I have tried several times, of course with tons of lubrication. I even tried Replens for a week. I don’t have insurance now so I can’t see my doctor. I cant’ imagine that I haven’t healed by now! Also, my urethra has never closed and has remained red and painful, even when wiping.

Can a woman be born without a Uterus and Ovaries?

Can this be a case of intersexed being born without BOTH a Uterus and Ovaries? If not, whats the name of the condition? Any backround information would be great too. Thanks :)

Lately I feel hot and then back to normal again but it is very hot out I am not sure if I am having hot flashes and had my uterus out less than a year ago my ovaries are still there. My sex drive is still there but not as much as before surgery.

Can gonadatropin drugs be taken post hysterectomy?

You know LH and FSH ovarian stimulating drugs. Hysterectomy as in only the uterus removed. It says on a site that after 5 years post op a woman has a 50% chance of total ovarian failure. But these drugs could keep a woman from having to take HRT.

My gynecologist is thinking I may need a hysterectomy involving just the removal of my uterus as I do not have my left ovary or tube. I am thinking why don’t he just take the right ovary and tube while he is in there. I am a 38 yr old woman who has had female organ trouble since menstruals started at age 12. What is the best route to go? I have had somewhat of mood swings when I had the left tube and ovary removed.

Describe the physical changes that occur to a normal woman’s ovaries and uterus each month.

What to do about painful menstrual periods?

Every month I always deal with painful menstrual periods. Mostly irritability, really painful stomach cramps, and lower back pain. I’m starting to get a little tired of having to deal with painful menstrual periods so I’m looking for ways to alleviate or stop the pain. I read somewhere that calcium (1,000 mg) and magnesium (500 mg) relaxes the uterine muscle, prevents menstrual cramps, and alleviates PMS tension. I’m considering taking a calcium and magnesium supplement but do I need to take this before my period starts, during my period, or after my period or should I be taking it all the time? Also I read that Evening Primrose oil helps regulate Prostaglandins so should I be taking this before my period starts, during my period, or after my period or full time? I heard somewhere that Red Raspberry Leaves is good for toning the uterus and also helps prevent menstrual cramps so should I be taking this before my period, during my period or after my period or full time?
Someone also told me that I should take an iron supplement cause that may help my heavy periods so should I take this before my period, during my period or after my period or full time. If you have any other thoughts or suggestions please post them cause at this point I’m willing to try.

I had a hysterectomy back in Jan of 2011. Im still cramping! How can this be? I don’t have my uterus, but do have my ovaries. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

I know this is something I will discuss with my doctor, but thought some might have experience. My C-Section surgeon found some fibroids on my uterus while delivering the baby. Is this something that will need taken care of before I get pregnant again? I know they can get larger with pregnancy because of the blood supply, but just curious. Thanks!

You know, like more cushioning material/blood in the uterus? I could be totally off here, but does a heavy/light period have any say in your ability to get pregnant and have healthy children?

I have 3 small fibroids in my uterus and I was told that they would not affect getting pregnant by my doctor. I recently had a miscarriage and then D&C and was wondering if the fibroids had anything to do with this?
