I suffer from vaginal dryness. My doctors will not give me any medications for estrogen as they can cause cancer. I heard I can buy some herbs to help me. I do not want to use creams before sex because this is embarassing. I am 59 and divorced. Can somebody help me by directing me to the right herbs to buy?

Do estrogen creams make you aroused?

the cream you use down there for vaginal dryness. Does it make you aroused? Why or why not?

My doctor prescribed Premarin vaginal cream to treat my vaginal dryness after menopause. She told me it doesn’t have the side effects that you see in estrogen pills. However, all I have read online so far indicates that vaginal cream has the exact same side effects as estrogen pills. I have taken estrogen pills before and suffered severe migraines, so I am worried about testing the vaginal cream. Any experiences you can share?

Do women in their 20s use estrogen cream?

because their birth control pill is causing vaginal dryness?

Also it wouldn’t cause arousal does it? Cuz the birth control I’m on gives me a high sex drive.

I use it for hormone replacement therapy because my body can’t produce hormones on its own.

I am 62 had a complete hysterectomy done,in "82 Left my ovaries in and they were removed in 2000 because of numerous tumors, Thank God they wee ok, but here I am left without the parts I need to produce Estrogen & testosterone Without these two chemicals in my body I feel like Im in a hopeless siltuatuion. Not feeling really well, hot flashes 24/7 which results in bad nerves for feeling so bitchy, tired, memory going, lack of interest in married sex, I adore my husband and this is so unfair to our marriage of 44 yrs. Vaginal dryness is unbearable. I never wanted to go on hormones because of all the scary things out there that’s scaring everyone to death by telling horrible things about the bad thing they will do . After putting up with these symptoms for several years I’ve decided to give it a try . Don’t know if my Dr. will agree but got to do something. Cant go thru any longer I don’t want to feel bad forever. If anyone has a story like mine please responded. Tried all over the counter menopausal drugs to no avail. I just want to get some energy back and live a normal life. Thank you to anyone who can share their stories on this subject. Thanking you in advance for your answer

Has anyone else experienced vaginal dryness while taking Accutane? Please help, I am desperate!?
I’m 22 and I’m taking Accutane, 40 mg a day. I was on 20mg a day because the 40 was too much, so I just now am taking 40mg a day. This is my third month into it, but maybe first month into the 40 mg..so the doctor said I had a few months left since I started slow. Well, my acne is almost completely gone everywhere which I LOVE, since I’ve had severe cystic acne everywhere on my face and body. But the dryness is HORRIBLE. I just forgot sunscreen for one day, and my legs have second degree burn and are blistering. I have burning after I pee down there, got checked, no infections of any kind. I think what it is, is bad vaginal dryness. I’m a virgin, so I only masturbate. But when I wasn’t on accutane, i was really wet, always ready..and now that I’m on it I can’t even get wet. When I did things with my boyfriend, which was just masturbating with him, before the accutane, I could orgasm and get really wet. Even up to a few weeks ago. I haven’t masturbated in a couple of weeks, so I did just a while ago..and it HURT and I didn’t even get wet. And I am usually wet, and have awesome orgasms by myself. I was so dry, and it hurt, I think I did orgasm, but it was painful as well..I don’t penetrate, only rub my c***..So. Did anyone else experience dryness on accutane down there? Or burning? I am thinking of stopping Accutane if this does not get better, I do NOT want to live the rest of my life having pain and dryness down there just to get my skin clear. I am so happy about my skin, but not at these costs..if that’s what it is. Please help! Also, my mom pays for my accutane, and what do I say if I tell her I’m quitting?
And if you did, does it go away? Or is it for life?
Yes, I may have made a mistake with the dosage. The doctor said I was taking 20 something, and then 40 something after I got used to the 20..When I first started taking it I was having horrible side effects from not being used to it. But this is a real, and quite serious question.

Let me start by saying I already have been to my gyno for an annual check up and she did not seem concerned about the severe vaginal dryness I was having. However, I had a bacteria infection at the time so maybe she just didn’t believe me as to how dry it actually gets. The bacteria infections were a problem for a while as a result of a weakend immune system from Lyme Disease. (I am on antibiotics for the Lyme and many probiotics, and don’t think those are the cause because this started well before the antibiotics.)

Now a few months later, I am still having this problem and I am beginning to realize this isn’t getting better and it’s not how I want to live!

My vaginal area has been completely dry for months. I no longer have a sex life because it is painful, even if I am lubricated, which seems almost impossible. When I say dry, I mean it literally has no moisture what so ever all day long. I don’t even have an odor.

It gets sore during the day as I walk around. I have gotten in the habit of using vagisal cream, because sometimes it does feel itchy.

Sometimes right before my period I get what feels like a in-grown hair lump on it, but more on the inside, not where a ingrown hair would be. That lasts a day or so and goes away. Since I am not sexually active, I’m pretty confident it’s not an STD.

Then for the last two months when my period comes I feel burning and stinging in that area. Soap makes it sting and wiping is painful. If I wasn’t bleeding because of my period, I would think I was cut or something. There is nothing I can see on it that would cause this. The vagina itself just looks very inflammed.

So, as far as the dryness goes, could that cause the lumps and soreness I was referring to and can anyone recommend what to do, if anything, cuz my doctor didn’t seem to think it was a big deal.

And is this thing that’s happening during my menstrual cycle in anyway normal and maybe something common that I just have never experienced before, or should I take another trip to my doctor and insist I am having a problem?

I am a 30 year old female with no children and I have been on the pill for many many years.

Vaginal dryness… it won't go away… please help?

Okay, so during the summer, for about two and a half months i experienced vaginal dryness. Basically it was itchy and painful. at first i thought it was a yeast infection so i used those kits, but then i realized that it was dryness because i was having minimal discharge (yeah, i’m dumb for mistaking dryness for wetness but…) anyway it went away in… probably early september, and its been gone until now. i just got my period less than a year ago, so it’s not like it’s menopause or anything. i’ve been using the replens stuff that’s supposed to make it less dry, and it works, but only for a little while. i have no other symptoms other than the dryness/itching/pain. i haven’t gone to a gynocologist, and i’m really afraid if i have to go. what’s the cause of this, and how is it treating? i’m only a teenager, and doesn’t this just happen to women in menopause? oh, and my cycles are pretty regular, if that’s relevant.
