Why do I keep having Night Sweats?
for the past 4 or 5 nights I’ve been having night sweats. Its usually closer to when I wake up in the morning and I’m drenched in sweat and im usually freezing cold. Its not like I’m too hot because I only have one blanket on most usually. This has happened for the past week pretty much…
does anyone know why this is happening?
i’m 16 btw

Abnormal night sweets could be due to:
- nightmare (you’d probably know that)
- INFECTION: flu (you’d have headache and body aches during the day), tuberculosis (goes with coughing), infectious mononucleosis (sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes)
- atypical, possibly viral pneumonia, (dry cough)
- thyroid disease
- leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease
- drugs
- allergy to certain food (delayed type of allergy)
- liver disease (hepatitis A caught by fecal-oral infection)
There’s a 100 causes of night sweats in a link below, but don’t be upset by that.
Go to the doctor, a simple examination and a blood work can bring an answer.
A good thing you mentioned your age because I was going to suggest menopause. Sounds like you are coming down with something or have caught some illness. I suggest telling your parents that you want to go to the doctor.
Other possible answers are anxiety, certain medications, drug or alcohol abuse, gastrointestinal reflux disease, diabetes, and other causes. It might be nothing or it might be something but you’re not going to know until a doctor examines you.
